The Property & Evidence Unit releases property or evidence being retained for a designated party for court presentation or other disposition. They are also responsible for maintaining a storage warehouse and for the proper impounding of property and evidence for the department.
National Forensic Science Week recognizes the highly trained and talented professionals that work in the Forensic Services Division of the Scottsdale Police Department. This year, it runs September 19th though September 25Th. In addition to our crime laboratory that offers services in blood alcohol, controlled substances, latent print processing, latent print comparisons, body fluid identification, and DNA analysis we also offer digital forensics, crime scene response, criminal history and property and evidence management. Each day of National Forensic Science Week we will be highlighting aspects from the Forensic Services Division.
