Just reviewed your instructions for cutting and planting; made notes and was surprised how much I forgot. There is snow on the ground today, so this week will be good time to plant.

Very, very, nice video. Packed with info and I like your pace. It is a quiet video with no nonsense music to interfere with missing words. I too, am not keen on grafting. It makes things very difficult to propagate. Thank you for this. God bless you.

Glad this video on hardwood cuttings popped up--I will try this method on my Mt. Laurel first. Plus, this is the right time for cuttings.

I have a question hoping that someone can help me. I did a cutting on a hybrid poplar tree and had new growth that came out one side of the cutting. Can you tell me how can I get growth on all sides of the cuttings? I am concern with the current cutting because the tree is lopsided and I think it will fall down when it grows So far ever cutting I have done the growth only came out one side. . I would appreciate anyone's help on explaining if this is normal and what I can do to get growth around all side of the cutting?

I believe this is normal and it depends on how many and where any growth points or nodes are. I noticed that I had more growth on all sides when I had cuttings with multiple nodes or growth points. Also, I believe it also depends on the cut(s) you make and where. I've also had new growth in places I've accidentally nipped. Anyways, I would let your cuttings grow out as is this first year, and then cut them down and it should send out new shoots. Sort of like coppicing. I am in now way a professional and I would definitely get your advice from one.lol but if you still have a hard time getting any, I thought I would give you my opinion and experiences. I've been doing this for quite a while, but definitely dont have any detailed knowledge on it. I just was taught by my grandmother that I could plop some sticks in the ground or water and it will grow into a tree. Lol I do my own experimenting and have now started to reach out to actually get the knowledge behind the science of rooting cuttings etc.
