Propagating Fuchsia from cuttings with actual results
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Fuchsia is an exotic summer-blooming plant. The flowers are normally double shaded and dangle from the stems. It likes filtered sunlight and a lot of water. They look great in hanging baskets. This video shows how to propagate them from cuttings.

Thanks for the tip with the skewers and plastic. ❤️
Great detail and explanation of why you are taking the steps, ie removing some leaves, the purpose of the nodes even watering a few hours before cutting. Noone else mentions these details. Excellent video.

You can prune it which will produce multiple branches from the cut area
The house I nanny at has a beautiful fuchsia plant and the little one broke off a long branch, about a foot and a half long and woody with smaller stems growing off it, and I don’t want to waste it. there are places I can take cuttings like the ones shown here but I was wondering if it’s possible to utilize the woody part of the branch as well? Thank you for any advice!
@EasyPeasyGardening

Yes, you can plant the woody part too
Thanks for informative video. Have question. Can I put it in potting mix? Can I keep outside as it gets around 45 at night, or should I keep indoor near window?

No, it's fine, don't cut it off. Enjoy the flowers
After I propagated and have roots, say I planted the cuttings in late summer and they rooted in little dividers in Fall. How do I keep them alive throughout the winter? We're in Seattle area (so, not too cold in winter but can get 30 deg F sometimes, 40 F is common at night) . Should we transplant them into pots and keep them indoors until spring? Thank you.
