I thought you were going to end with "props to you" - Sounded like a really cool event to walk around, talk to people and look at some really unique items.

What a perfect, proportionally-sized prop party for the greatest living prop masters in the business.

This is the part of Hollywood I've always been most enamored with, sure there are beautiful actresses out there but the people who work in the background to make everything look real, those are the ones I want to see the most.

This should be a regular thing imho. I have never been in the States or on the American continent, but knowing, that this might still exist in the future it might be something to look forward to. Congratulations!

@@ScottPropandRoll Well that last shot is pretty convincing, but you're turning around and your shadow doesn't move, you also almost miss an eye at some point and your audio sounds very indoor-sy. Oh and you're flying over the parking lot in the beginning (I haven't made that mistake in years). Anyways, just messing with you, it's looks like a fun but also informative event.

When stuff goes missing at these kinds of get togethers, it's difficult to distinguish who's prop-erty is who's.

No, Many smaller productions like music videos and commercials often have non union, even some tv shows have non and union and will flip half way through the show

How did you get started? What was your first "On your own" production? Did your high school guidance counselor sit you down and say "Your aptitude test says you should either be a theritcal physicist or a nuclear submarine commander. Pretty much anything but the move business". And then you rebelled?

I guess with such a massive industry, it's inevitable that this idea would "propagate" all the way out to fill the lot.

for once there’s no pun: it really was a tailgate party! and there sure were a lot of movie trailers, but ones that folks don’t want to ignore or get away from until they’re done 🤣 I hate unions and their politics but this is a rare case where even I have to admit good came from a strike as some business cards changed hands and some friends got to meet other friends giving others business opportunities

Honestly, so many people have commented on how obvious that one was! I'm sure you have loads of "inside baseball" knowledge of that nature!
