The fact that bronze players are getting put against pred 3 stacks is laughable, I do not think I’ve ever seen a worse matchmaking system than apex in my life. I grow more and more glad I quit with each passing day

Real. EA doing their best to ruin the Solo Q experience as much as possible with Ranked, Pubs are nothing short of dogsh*t and Mixtape has 1 good mode that you have to wait for 30min after 1 game. Highkey, the only think that keeps Apex alive is the unique movement mechanics, everything els - respawn are doing their best to kill the game.

There is no enjoyment for average players

Maybe if the game actually had players that didn't just rush to one input and inflate fake skill then the game would be better for everyone, but nooooo people gotta rush to controller and get easy fights, but once it comes down to an actual good player going against them or them just using their brain they can't so shit

That’s the problem. The system rewards playtime over actual skill. Most high rank players aren’t that good on their own it’s why they stack. Sure they have skill but they are only high rank because they stack and play like 14+ hours a day.

Turn off aa Zeus would've lost that fight, but tbh that pred wasn't even that good, as someone else said currently it's more about time than skill. But also he's 3 stacking with I think 2 roller players so it's easy to shit on teams and get assist LP. Roller has inflated fake skill in ranked

I was playing yesterday. Kept getting the same loser on my team for like 4 games . I'm shooting at people getting damage and this dude is just watching me . Not firing his gun once! I'm literally yelling at him to shoot at the people I am . He says he wants to save his ammo . We got pushed a d stuffed like turkeys within seconds. . All that ammo he saved and he never even used one round. This shit is beyond frustrating

Yeah players are idiots. You definitely got pushed because the other team recognize your team was trash. I'm not saying you're trash by the way, but you can usually tell when a team is an easy wipe. If my team only saw you putting damage, and depending on your shield, we'd push you really hard when we got an opening. I've learned the beast way to avoid that is by putting out damage (like you were). Your team puts up decent damage, that team will most of the time leave you alone and run away. But i feel you bro, some people shouldn't be queue with you when they aren't at your skill level.

Why can't it just be the respective ranks? Why does there have to be a second rating behind it? What's the point of the rank anyway if something else is going to dictate what your opponents are? It's so dumb...

Skillbased matchmaking completely negates any reason to have a ranked system. If you always play against the same skill level whats stopping an actual bronze from getting into diamond or masters simply because they get matched against other bad people the whole time.

That's one of the reasons why i stopped playing Apex for a while. I'm Plat and it's unfair for me to play against Preds / Masters. That kills the enjoyment of Apex for me.

as SOLO PLAYER> I hate this season. You need to win to get promoted and your team mates are all bronze on a Plat to Diamond lobby and when you hit a diamond your team mates would be bronze or gold and you get demoted because of these team mates.

Bro so many people are bad but just 3 stack everyday, you almost 1v3ing those bots was hilarious

"Do we believe them!?" No!" Ahaha. Its been 2 years of shit ranked. Just garbo devs. Also its been 5 years and they are saying the MMR/SBMM is now "figured" out. Don't believe the devs, not until they prove us wrong.

It took me 4 trials to get to Diamond despite winning before & after my trials; it's like they kept giving me the biggest bots against the biggest 3 stack sweats as soon as I was doing my trials. Only got in on my fourth attempt because I had a Pred Horizon. I don't see a problem with average or slightly above average players 3 stacking, but when sweats 3 stack it just makes the game absolutely miserable. Last 3 seasons of ranked have just been so horrendous it's unreal. They need a separate ranked playlist where you can't stack after hitting Diamond. Solo queuing ranked this season made me want to die it was so bad.

I found this too. I would get to trials and there was a clear difference in the teammates. Like not even a slight change, it was an indisputable change. Like I’d play many games to get to my trials and never would I see even one player on my team get 0 damage. Then, I’d get to trials and every trial game I’d get both teammates doing either 0 damage or at most under 100. It was such a drastic and dramatic change in teammate production that immediately started once I got to trials that there is no way it could have been a coincidence. This happened to me consistently once i got to trials so I eventually just gave up on ranked.

Judging from your comment & our joint experiences I think Respawn had some disgusting matchmaking system to give worse players to people in trials to make them fail & have to play longer. Trials were not a measure of skill, it was a measure of mental fortitude because it forced you to get wins when they wanted you to get them & ranked doesn't work that way. In Gold 1 for example I got 3 wins, two of those being in a row up to the limit, as soon as I do my trials I fail & get another win straight after. Trials have genuinely been the worst addition to Apex in its entire history; so glad it & MMR etc is getting removed. It genuinely is a miracle I got to Diamond this season, I feel for anyone who couldn't make it.

Wouldn’t surprise me at all.. it was way too frustrating.. and I don’t like to be one of those guys that blames teammates because that’s not me, I just went with it.. but as a solo player it got super frustrating, especially when you get a wins and consistent top 3s right before trials start. Oh well, looking forward to season 20.

Thank you for speaking the truth. I was the only one last season speaking up. I don't know how respawn did it... but they managed to make THE most toxic match making game in human history for solo players. 3 stack preds gaslighting entire lobbies of Bronze and Silver players all the time, every time. Absolute horrible experience last few seasons. I loved APEX... they destroyed it.

Damn power to you man. I started mid way through split 2 returning after not playing since season 9. My god I dropped ranked so fast lol. Every match pred and masters three stacks coming up from rookie with only bronze and silver team mates. I am by no measure a good player at this game either, lifetime K/D of 0.6. I like the rank I'm in actually reflecting my skill and the skill of those around me. Now it's just, well yeah I'm already fighting the top 0.1% of the player base as a solo queue so go figure the grind is taking forever, is there a point anymore? I have to say though. I'm glad they finally did something about CFGs at least.

This is why me and my friend quit after we finished the battle pass. In earlier season we were low diamond players at best. Now we are stuck in gold playing against pred 3 stacks.

yea thats my exact experience going from d4 to master. im not facing some old washed up preds, im facing current preds and pro players. im in eu so there arent as many big names, but some of the more notable players i went against during my time in diamond were: Alliance Effect, Xerrifer, TSM Mande, Apryze, Crewsn, Graceful, 9impulse, gdoplhin, etc.

Props to you both for your ability to stick it out during the promo/trial rank up bullshit as a solo. It broke me. I made it to diamond trial 4x solo (ignoring all the repeated tries to promo from silver>gold previously) and I just couldn't anymore and quit playing. Also the fact you recognized it wasn't Marcus fault at the beginning of the video because he shouldn't have been fighting preds at his level in the first place. Not many "content creators" have the empathy/decency to do that instead of just calling guys like him trash all the time. Very classy imo.

This is literally what's been happening to me all season, I went from rookie to plat and it was nothing but 3 stack preds all the way through so I just gave up and couldn't bother pushing to diamond. I don't know if it's some glitch like the good old "bot lobby glitch" back in season 7 but it's been pissing me off, either that or it's sbmm doing it's thing and fucking me ten times over

I love how it is easier to rank up as the lobbies get more "difficult". When you get better team mates, you can actually level up.

Ive never hit pred but was always going against them in pubs and in my placement matches with the new MMR/rank system

I was used to playing masters and preds -while being in low silver lobbies all fucking season.

I solo’d to masters in 4 weeks and I was so tired of the game after it, s19 was a hard/annoying season to get masters

idk, I played a lot of games in bronze I got no player that was anywhere close to Master-Pred, sure in Season 20 I've probably gone against some, but that's because everyone's rank went back to Rookie, I don't really mind that, as they will rank up a lot quicker

I never played ranked this season because i'm literally gold 4 in pred lobbies. I even died in promotionals when I was bronze against preds. So effed up.

They are so mentally twisted. Precise SBMM is supposed to be for ranked as a secondary matchmaking tool outside of rank itself. It’s casual games that need less sbmm, it’s so stupid

i have no idea how sbmm supposed to work. on my second account my ranked kd is 2.30, my dmg is 647, that account is in gold 1 but im constantly in diamond - pred ranked lobbies, are those preds bad, how they end up in my games lol ? not to mention that my teammates are very obviously not even same skill / experience level as ME let alone preds, in 90% of the game they are clueless, do less dmg than me and dont communicate, i have to igl them and even then most of them dont listen or just toxic...

I think the ranked system could have really done well if they separated the solo Q players and the 3 stacks. But then duos would either run rampant or get shit on. Hard to please everybody

Bro, I was playing on oc with controller and for my silver match to rank up to gold my 2 teammates were predators, they had about 20 something kills combined and needless to say, we won that match!

I decided to stop playing Apex Legends after giving it a try for the past 4-5 days. My Silver lobbies being filled with Trio Master Squads, which I find ridicolous. Wondering why this issue hasn't been addressed yet..

Yeah my experience playing ranked for 9 hours was something else, we were in pc lobbies because of our third and my duo and i are xbox our ranks are platinum 2, i’m silver 4 and our third we found was bronze on pc, even on pc not a single pred we faced mostly plat players despite her mmr being a bit on the higher side because we win most games and can easily gain 1,000+ rp each time we play. Later our third left and we picked up one of my playstation friends joined he was diamond last season so had the higher mmr out of us and in our games nothing but preds and masters some of which were on pc in console lobbies we didn’t manage to get a win because of it but we did manage to place top 3-5 most of the time. Regardless mmr is stupid and it’s just unfair because we’re a good team my team and i can play diamond lobbies and can put up one hell of a fight against the preds due to experience, but a rookie or bronze stand no chance against the preds.

best part of this video is how you almost killed a pred 3 stack by yourself... because that is what playing this game solo turns you into

I am silver 4 and every match was top 500 preds over and over, I literally had to switch to London Servers with 200ping to find a balanced match. I stopped played cause of this ( This season )

Im currently in gold iv been against 3 stack pred teams the whole time through silver im just a casual player the matchmaking is the worst iv seen in a long time

I literally had to stop playing and delete the game because the match making is trash, I even decided to do ranked to try to have a better lobby set up, but I couldn't even get out of bronze 2 😮‍💨

I have just gotten used to getting fed to 3 stack preds. I have just changed my expectations to consider a top 3 placement a great game.

Season 19 was the least enjoyable season I’ve played. I was completely steam rolled by 3 stack preds in ranked very consistently while in plat level. Not to mention you need a win in these lobbies to rank up. I stopped playing the game. Hopefully season 20 is better.

Been thinking this for a while now: I suspect that most "good"/"top" players are actually bunk ... In other words, they aren't legitimately good gamers, people who know how to play the actual game - instead, they are people who know how to game the system ... People that know how to exploit the game (by various means). Their skill is an illusion ... You see them, their badges, etc., and think that they are good ... But it's all make-belief. The end result is that 3 of them get clapped on by 1 person. It's utterly despicable. Note: Obviously not talking about actual pros.

Finally gave up on Apex this season due to the matchmaking..being a casual 1 day a week player, being told " stop complaining about matchmaking, and just get good" simply isn't going to happen. It's my absolute favourite game, but the experience the last few seasons has been dogshit for solo/causal players. I really hope they fix it.

One funny thing is at the beginning of the season I proved this. I went onto my brothers account which was silver 1 at the time and randomquing at the same time as my friend who was streaming and number 500 something pred at the time in a duo stack pred one masters trio and got in the same game as them 4 times in a row. The K/D on his account is a .7 you can not tell me thats pred skill.

It's nothing new, even when I was playing with my mate who is in bronze we got out up again a whole team a 3 stacked preds, it's how you see all these people with 30k kills and 20 kill badges, all you need to do is die alot for a hour straight with no kills and you'll be out into bot lobbies or newbies where they then just destroy,another story my friend first game he got a pred out on his team who at the end wiped over 47 kills at the end...thats why when I see these prds I just feel sorry for them that they go that low to try to look good, tops to the real preds out there though❤

the issue is these streamers can choose a server where they know there aren't enough high rank players to get a full pred game. They jump on Australia servers where there are nearly no preds and bam, they easily get matched with lower ranks. Streamers are not as good as they make themselves seem. The are actually good at gaming the system to rank up and get clout, notice how in championships they hide most of the game and struggle in fights vs other preds?
