It honestly never surprised me when news broke that he cheated, he always seemed like just a cliche WASPy frat boy who gets married because that’s what’s expected of him, not cuz he really wanted to. His constant rambling about being married just seemed like weird overkill

In the episode of try guys where they see how long it takes for them to get drunk, I always found it extremely suss and telling how drunk ned was a total wannabe frat boy

Thiiissss. I've thought this so many times since. Every drinking episode, even the stoned ones, his real personality came out and was WILD and the other guys were veru clearly crazy uncomfortable everytime.

He was always extremely aggressive for no reason and flirting with the other guys which was telling in itself because they looked uncomfortable with it no matter what and the fact that they openly talked about how they didn't like him being drunk or stoned

@@jemabirdnow that I’m thinking about it, you’re totally right. I get it. Remember when they were driving drunk and it was Ned’s turn? He actually scared everyone in the car. I think Ned is just the person who is so insecure with himself, that he has to put on a mask for every aspect of his life. Sad. He got a beautiful and wonderful woman and two beautiful children involved with his issues.

Hindsight is 20/20.

I wish she would give us an update on how she is doing, but I'm sure she's still very torn up about everything. We definitely don't need her giving us updates and messing with her mental health - she needs healing. Hoping her and the boys are happy and healthy

I miss ariel...shes such a great person both as a woman and a mother

Zack & Keith made it clear in their Pod episode addressing everything that they love Ariel and said she is always welcome- and by extension the Try Wives on their podcast- to continue to be there with them but they understand if she doesn't want to. I am not an avid listener of the "You Can Sit with US" Pod but I hope maybe they addressed it in a way however I can understand its different because Ariel is their friend too.

Honestly Ned was the only try guy who peaked before buzz feed in college

The only thing it shows me is that it was expected of the mother/ the wife/the woman to go home and care for the kids. And the husband to stay and “work” when he may not of even been working.

I don’t mean to over analyze but Ariel does seem a bit insecure so maybe deep down she worries she wouldn’t be able to find a better man so she’s willing to tolerate Ned‘s behavior and considering they have children I think Ariel has that boost to stay and work things out for the sake of them.

Yeah that was great for their finances) that she doesn't know how to untangle herself. But I agree it also comes off as self confidence issues because it's not like she did anything other than mildly complain about him on the podcast. She never held him accountable for what she mentioned he did like complaining about her cleaning the house.

I remember when that happened I was like that’s so weird…

This wasn't even the biggest red flag. The biggest and fattest one was Ned knowing and having a messaging app on his phone that would delete texts after they were read. Another I think of is from guilty pleasures where they shared they had "done it" in a portapotty and Ned had given her a bracelet that claimed her as his. It's one of those lock bracelets with a key, but of course, he didn't have one of his own. Also, with context, this clip can actually be excused and looked over while the others, even with context, are super sus.

The same day there was a concerned neighbor that posted a complaint about people having sex in a car parked on the street on the Nextdoor app and added a photo of the car. It was Ned’s car in the photo. She made the statement to point out internalized misogyny on the podcast, but it ended up confirming she was not in the car when the Nextdoor post was made
