I would say I'm the one who over uses literally. I love how you made it simple and literally to the point. The word is a part of the English language in many ways.

I just asked a non-native English speaker to try saying that word lol it really is harder than I imagined for each letter to be pronounced.

I’ve heard people shorten it to “litrally” or something like that, is it correct or are they a bit lazy ? 😂
@EverythingAmericanEnglish
2 жыл бұрын
It’s a very British sounding pronunciation:)
Google translator show the pronunciation to be: "lidərəlē", but says it more like "lidərlē" imho...
I must say this word slowly or it sounds so silly lol
@EverythingAmericanEnglish

Practicing these words slowly really helps:)
I have to be careful when using this word with my students... Slowly and clearly. They have American, British, Irish and Indian teachers.... So they get a lot!

Yes, it can get so confusing!
The second context is annoying to me lol One girl on the bachelor literally said “literally” in every sentence. Lol
@EverythingAmericanEnglish

Oh no! Lol
liderelly? lol
I’m realizing how annoying this word is even as an English speaker. I honestly say it in a British accent and this might be why! “Litch-rally”
