Pronation is the Name of the Game

Спорт

Trying to hold everyone at practice with my pronation and crack them wrists'. I guess the ‪@devlarratt‬ pronation floor lifts are paying off. In all of these matches, pronation was the only thing keeping me alive. Still need to get that wrist/cupping a little bit stronger. #armwrestling

True, true. Only time I’m 100% is on match day, and sometimes that’s not always the case

Pronation is important but cup is probably moreso.

Pronation with strong rise beats cup, cup with strong pronation is also a very good. I try and implement all the above in each technique if I can

@@shawnoconnor8075 yeah, you can pronate a lot more weight with your wrist flexed in than you can with it flat/straight. Also, beating the cup the way you're describing is mostly about ulnar deviation and back pressure. Pronation is a very small part of it. Just my two cents. Try pronating through someone's wrist without applying any back pressure and you'll see what I mean.

@@joemarley5982 I get what your saying and there is so many little nuances in this sport that can change pressure dramatically. I practice all the time and compete I actually got to pull with Kevin a little bit in the afterpull of a tournament and he taught me some things, very strong and different when you grip up with him in person

Do you ever find you feel like your wrist is dumped when you dont cap? Sometimes. I run into the issue where when i try to get knuckle height while uncapped i keep covering their thumb so the ref brings me down and i end up dumped under my opponent. So i started double calling and im able to get good height but i definitely give up a lot of containment. Any tips? Thanks! Hope to pull you one day by the way!@@KevinPalkoArmwrestling

@@Amoroso-Arm-Wrestling nope, I can keep the same height. Rise up as high as possible and put thumb on top of fingers
