Promoting healthy function during flares and fatigue - tips for young people & care/support givers.

This webinar aims to give parents, caregivers and young people practical information and tips to help with managing pain flares and fatigue associated with painful conditions. Fluctuations in pain and energy levels can be really demoralising and disruptive to the young person (and people around them) particularly when patterns appear unpredictable causing uncertainty day to day. Sometimes, well-meaning coping strategies such as rest can feedback to increase pain and fatigue. Understanding mind-body connections, a compassionate attitude and creative approaches to practical strategies such as pacing, mindfulness, goal setting and sensory tools can help empower young people to maximise their function and performance in home, school and social life.
