Exactly. He killed his wife for trying to stop him getting revenge on Oliver, his dad wanted to disown him for being a psychopath and he blew up Lian Yu with his own allies on it because he didn't care whether they died as long as Oliver's friends and loved ones were taken with them. IMO Simon Morrison was a serial killer long before he started using the Adrian Chase alias and became Prometheus. I have a theory that the real reason he was pissed at Oliver was because Simon wanted to kill his dad Justin Claybourne himself for disowning him and targeted Oliver because Oliver took that chance away from him by killing Claybourne. I bet he would have done what he did to Oliver to anybody for no reason at all other than his own sick pleasure. Claybourne's death just gave him a convenient excuse to choose Oliver as his victim. He didn't torture Oliver to get him to admit he liked killing. Simon did it because he liked it and got off on it.

IMO he didn't really love his wife Doris. He only married her to blend in and seem normal so no one would suspect he was a psychopath. You hear about many real life serial killers getting girlfriends and wives so people won't see them for who and what they really are. How much love could there have been in a marriage where she didn't even know his real name?

I think Arrow should have ended at Season 5 to be honest. With Oliver saving William and Adrian killing himself but winning in death by destroying Lian Yu and killing all of Oliver's loved ones on it. It not only would have ended Arrow like the dark superhero show it started out as and not the bad romantic drama it became but it also would have ended the series where it began. On Lian Yu.

I completly agree with you. It would have been the perfect Ending. It would have shown that every Act has consequences, no matter if you did it for a good purpose or a bad one. Arrow caused pain to others and created his own demise in an inconsiderste attempt to be a hero.

This was an Incredible Masterpiece for My All Time Favorite Antagonist’s on Arrow and My Fourth Favorite Villain in The Arrowverse and the Song Run By Disturbed really fits Prometheus’s Character.

Comics Prometheus is shit. He's a generic evil murderous Batman who wants to destroy the law because his criminal parents were deservedly shot dead by a policeman in front of him. This Prometheus is actually interesting. And not every version of a hero or villain has to be like the comics version just because they're the original version. Adaptations don't have to follow the original source material.

That's maybe your opinion. But Prometheus from the comics is FRICKIN AWESOME. While this one......well I only liked him because he's a nihilist but he was the main reason why I skipped most of the 5th season of Arrow. And I don't say that it must be 100% the same as in the comics but still.....we must be able to see which villain it is. Adaptions don't have to follow the original source material indeed, but they're better using it. If you can't respect my opinion then piss off

Arrow's Prometheus actually trained to become as skilled as he is. Comics Prometheus just downloads fighting styles into his head. And Arrow's Prometheus does use the name for a reason because Simon Morrison/ Adrian Chase explains that he chose the name Prometheus because Prometheus was a Titan from Greek mythology who stole fire from the gods to help humanity. So basically Simon believes he's a godlike hero helping humanity by destroying the life of the man who killed his father. In reality he's an evil psychopath who kills because he likes killing and used Oliver killing his dad as an excuse to hurt and kill innocent people for kicks and sadistically torture Oliver himself who he wanted to drive insane and ruin the life of to the point of making him wish he was dead because he realised that leaving Oliver completely insane and broken with everyone he loves dead, the knowledge that he'd completely failed and making him believe that everything he touches and everyone he gets close to dies would be a fate worse than death and a worse punishment than simply killing him. Prometheus was so evil that his dad Justin Claybourne who was a monster himself who infected people with a strain of tuberculosis then put the cure up to prices the infected couldn't possibly pay. And when Oliver confronted Claybourne about condemning innocent families to death do you know what Claybourne said "Nobody cares about those people. They're a blight. And I'm just thinning the herd." After that he gets a well deserved arrow in the chest that kills him. Now if a man like that wanted to disown his son for being a psychopath that tells you how evil Simon/ Adrian/ Prometheus is. Arrow Prometheus isn't a loser just because you don't like him. And calling his taste in villains crap because he doesn't like a villain you like is pathetic. Grow up. You're not a "superior being" for liking comics Prometheus and he's not an ignorant idiot for disliking him. Everything I've just listed about Arrow's Prometheus is far more interesting than a generic evil Batman who wants all policemen dead just because one policeman killed his parents.

Arrow season 5 one of the most Underated seasons it feels like it should of been season 3 because it sets up and follows the themes of the past and future season and he actually acts as oliver dark mirror and it is done reall well
