    You did a fantastic job with your build. I particularly like the HD cabinet solution. I was hoping you had an electrical wiring diagram you could share?

    This build is by far the best I've seen for a promaster 2500 159WB van. It has everything I would need to travel for long distances in multiple different climates. If you were to add a heater to this build, what brand/model would you choose? I'm thinking the Webasto 12V gas heater. Because I will be working from the road, I'm going to also mount a Starlink satellite and maybe a cell phone booster antenna to the roof as well.

    Cool build! Any concerns for gray water tank freezing in winter?

    We don't use it in the winter but it would freeze for sure. You could add a 12vokt heating pad system to the bottom of the tank if you are camping year-round.

    Thank you I have learned a lot from watching your Van Conversion videos. 1st question: What regulates the power delivered to the battery when both the DC/DC charger and the Solar Charge Controller are both working charging the batteries at the same time? What keeps too much current from being fed to the batteries during this dual charging period? 2nd question: When your using shore power what disables the Solar Charge Controller or are they also working simultaneously?

  • @JackofAllMasterofNone

    @JackofAllMasterofNone

    The batteries have a built in BMS that regulates the charge. They will only take what they can. When on shore power it combines all of the inputs up to the maximum that the batteries will take.

    I've seen many videos that use a 3000 watt invertor with 400 amp hour batteries. Does your electrical system fit your needs? Because you did mention always go a little bit bigger 😁

    Have never had a problem yet. It could be an issue if I try and run the hot water heater, AC and microwave all at once. I just am aware of the situation and keep and eye on the Inverter duty cycle screen. It will tell you if you are pushing it too hard.

    How did you connect your electrical system to the alternator? We’re considering buying a 2024 version of this van with factory upfitter prep installed. Is that expensive option required?

  • @JackofAllMasterofNone

    @JackofAllMasterofNone

    It's not required, but makes things easier if you don't want to dont want a whole electrical setup in the back. If you are going to be doing batteries in the back I wouldn't worry about the upfitter package. I just ran (2) 6 gauge wires (positive and negative) from the battery under the seat to the back to a Victron DC to DC charger. This allows the vans battery to charge the batteries in the back when running.
