Promaster Conversion: DIY Roof Rack Part 2 | Solo Female Van Life | S1 Ep. 10.2
This is the second part to my DIY Roof Rack installation. I ended up using Unistrut to fabricate the rack. It took FOREVER to complete, but it's finally done!! I think it turned out pretty good.

**ABOUT THIS JOURNEY**
After losing my brother to suicide in February of 2020, then being hurled directly into a global pandemic, and then concluding the year by being tossed back into life as a single lady, I realized I was in need of major mental health break!
So, I bought a Ram Promaster 2500 159" wheelbase high roof cargo van, quit my job, and set a goal of 3 months to build my van into a tiny home on wheels and then hitting the road to see what van life is all about.
Join me on my journey as I build out the van and take off as a solo female on a cross country journey.

Thanks for doing this video Beale. Although I have the extra High Roof L3H3) (Citroen Relay over here in England) I was able to use your method for building my roofrack to mount my solar - I had to use the taller unistrut for the legs as there is a slight curve in the roof onthe Extra High Roof. Keep your spirits up and keep vanning :-) BTW - what do you do for water tanks/storage?

Hello Beale, first of all, please forgive my English as I am French 😁 that said, thanks very much for sharing your adventures with us 👍 I got a couple questions for you, so I watched your video on the isolation of the floor and I was wondering what is the purpose of the silver lining (spaceship thing) you put underneath the insulation pink foam? Second question is regarding your unistrut roof rack system, what is the purpose of the the 2nd bolt you used? I understand the 1st one is to "bond, link, screw" the bottom and top parts together which should fix it solid to the roof pug, isn't it? It appears you shot these videos a few months back, do you have some feedback on the stability of the roof rack yet? Sorry, for all these questions, I don't have yet find my van ton convert but I want to gather most of the information I can before I start and your channel is inspiring for someone like me... Thanks so much for your answers 👍 It totally make sense to add some extra insulation to make sure pets are a bit more comfortable, especially with such a product that helps to insulate sound as well. Unfortunately, we do not have that product here in France, not that brand though but I will check if we have something similar maybe 😉 Regarding the roof rack, I think I understand what you mean, I guess I'll have to try and error myself when I'll get there anyway. But I'll have somewhere to start with because of you 😁 Something else I meant to tell you, nice editing, I really like the work you're doing there, music is nice too 👍 Until next video, take good care...
