Ye seo is Sky Castle is such a masterpiece of a character. She can make you hate her and the next second you sympathize with her. (BTW Kim Hyeyoon is such a good actress. Ye Seo and Eun DanOh are polar opposites but she handled both the roles extremely well!!)

it's frustrating how the second female lead is always glamorous, confident and bold and how the main is always poor, nerdy, innocent and bashful. it suggests that in korea, those kind of girls are more desirable while the other is either a mean girl or problematic and therefore shouldnt get the guy. I would love to watch a drama with a female lead who has the second lead traits/personality. girl's don't have to be virtuous and lovely to be worthy of love. I wish kdrama's could realise that and stop pandering to that notion.

Yaa exactly.. Most of the time in kdramas second male lead is portrayed as good, kind. Where as second female lead as a bad villen witch.. In legend of blue sea i really felt bad for cha shi aa.. Almost 10 years she was with him.. She tried her best to impress him.. But all she got was that shitty attitude.. He doesnt even care.. Eventually she found her love.. But still it was bad.. In dramas if second male lead take care of the main female lead everybody appreciate them.. But when the second female did the same no body talks about it.. In true beauty also i felt bad for soojin.. I know she did wrong but she realised her mistake and asked for apology as well.. And why cant dramas portray second female as good caring and all..honestly i am tired of seeing females as bad villens in most dramas..

When I was watching sky castle, i liked ye seo a lot. People can say she has an attitude but when the near was ending all the emotions inside her came out. For me she never had an attitude,she let all her emotions out after keeping it inside. Ye seo was framed for murdering the girl, but it wasn't her and my most favourite second lead syndrome will always be ye seo.

I always liked the second lead actresses I always thought that their characters are even harder to pull off than the main one , they show some really good emotions and they always make u get into their characters that you find yourself very into it , this video really showed the amazing acting skills of a second lead actress not anyone can pull it off

And there is a fact that playing the second lead is much harder than playing the main lead, therefore many talented second lead actresses become the main lead of great dramas eventually. Look at this video, it demonstrates.

Honestly I've never felt the same way about any character like I have with sooji. I hated her so much but wanted to hug her so badly. She went through way too much at a very young age, had no one on her side and those that did left her because of her toxicity and it left me in such a wierd state. I was really happy in the ending but her character is seriously one of a kind for me.

It's no coincidence these roles are played by some of the strongest female actors in Korea - not just anyone can play a character this complicated and nuanced.

2nd leads are always super strong when 1st leads are cry-babies .2nd slove their problems by themselves they don't have any one for support .they are struggling successful lady . They are strong that's why they always have to face more sadness and cry alone😭😭😭 while heroes are always ready for 1st lead

Kim hye yoon, Moon ka young, and Han Seo Hee is the one youngest most excellent character. They give me more attention They are great actress. They can prove to me, those of them can slayed every role they're being given. And do not talk about Lee Ji Eun. She's so strongest!

Only the best actresses can play characters like these so well. (Cindy was just plain awesome though)

Moon Gayoung's character in Tempted was a masterpiece.

Everyone hated Choi soo Jin but I loved her character. The built up of strength even though she's broken, the mean girl act she puts on in order to get what it is she wants. She was tired of things being taken from her and she finally fought back but people thought she was being a bitch. I loved her character.

There’s actually quite a lot of funny scenes too, even with the characters you might not like at first (aka Professor Cha)

This is my fave. I cant keep count of how many times I came back.

In terms of second female lead, writer Park Jieun is phenomenal in creating them (e.g. 'The Producers', 'Crash Landing On You, 'My Love From Another Star')! Generic k-dramas always give off second female leads you hate straight away, but she manages to give you these characters who are three-dimensional which the audience can sympathize with (given the actress can pull it off).

We love the 2nd lead because they have deeper stories to explore, to analyze, to relate... Their stories may make us feel entertaining, symphathetic, angry.. and a lot more emotion by the hiding and revealing effect. Aw, this is one of the best edit I've seen

I really appreciated Joy's acting in tempted . But I like su ji (moon ga young) than tae hee (joy) and yoo Rachel (Kim ji won) more than cha Eun sang (park shin hye) . I liked their Savage character . No personal hate

Usually the second female lead is more realistic than the main female lead. More STRONGER characters, more DEEPER feelings. And this actresses did such a good job doing this role, even if you hate they character you love the actress.

i feel like i can learn to love every single character on here (some i already love), except for that girl from love alarm. BTW, choi sooji from tempted is my fav female character to exist, like EVER!!!

I actually love them because, They give the charactcher their personality. Without a good actress, there won't be 'second lead'. So i actually praise them.

I love this😍😍 these characters always go through such hard times but no one really cares cause all we care about is the female lead and her struggles

Am I the only one who shipped Shihyun and Sooji in Tempted/The Great Seducer for the whole show?

You miss Kang Soo Jin in True Beauty.She is also one of the characters most people hate.But she is my favourite character in the whole drama.Her character is the reason why I watched True Beauty.

This one hit so hard, these are all my favorite characters, the damaged ones who try to act tough when their insides are crumbling. I loved this one so much, I was about to cry. Knowing the lyrics and the plots of most of these dramas along with the special edits, this video was literally amazing!
