I built a turbo 8v Golf 2 like this. I use a G60 intake manifold which puts the air intake on the opposite side. I run the compressor output forward over the oil cap and alternator, and curve back to the other side of the engine and I use a PWR water-to-air intercooler mounted directly above the timing plug on the top of the transmission. I use an intercooler pump from a supercharged Mustang and a large B&M oil cooler for the heat exchanger. I use a Garrett T3 50-trim turbo from a Saab 900. The engine uses G60 pistons for 8:1 C/R and CIS injection controlled by an Unwired Tools UTCIS-PT. I have a 16V trans with a Quaife LSD. This system works very well and the car puts more than 200HP to the wheels on pump gasoline.

Hey. I have the same exhaust manifold (exhaust collector) off a mk2 1.6TD. What PSI are you pushing with that turbo? How did you set your timing? Or are you using megasquirt??? What's the compression at? 10:1 ?

is everything working right ? any problems you have/had ? What about engine still working well ?
