To be fair, Eli (Plague of Gripes) and Paige (PeachSaliva) are good friends who collab often and go back before VTubers and Mel were a thing. So Eli asking Mel would have been somewhat more impractical. When Peaches started dating her Brother-Husband 7(?) years ago, is when the friendship started. So it would be easy for Eli to just ask Paige for her voice talents on a 3 minute video. He's actually really funny too, smart and damaged, and it's not the first time he's played with causing awkward boners - Look up Triangle Girl or Predator College. I still love his "The Pact" short. But Plague was one of the first artists and animators that Pat employed with his then friend and business partner Matt, when they were Super Best Friends Play ( Two Best Friends Play and TheSw1tcher predating that). Pat and Eli have been friends ever since. SBFP was actually really good for the artist community back in their heyday. Plague, 2Snacks, Star and a bunch of others got a huge boost by providing thumbs and animations. And not just in "Exposure" they were paid real money for their commissions.

I don't think the Zaibatsu Remnant or Paige would be willing to work with any VTubers due to the cringe nature of their work. They also are not in any need of more money.

@@RazgrizStraitz Pat and Paige are absolutely fans of Melody, Paige was very excited when this react stream happened. That said, there's not exactly a straight line of contacts to make the Vtubing/StaringAt happen except maybe 2Snacks, who more does fan videos and commissions rather than streaming.

what accent is that? also cool that a vtuber doesnt sound like an adult's impression of a child. like why do they do that? is unsettling.
