Arwen was pretty bad where I am. Took out my fence and put half my buddija into the pond. Follow that up with storm Barra. Luckily no damage to the shed and some of the fence just slotted back into place. Going to get a kind relative to help me fix the rest of the fence this weekend. Weather permitting will take up a few slabs to expand the garden :)

Living in mid west France where it is often very hot, I had a great tip from Peter. He said that they don't always use bonsai substrate, but put them in ordinary compost. Great news for me since it is very difficult to obtain the bonsai stuff. I have some substrate left and mix some with ordinary compost. Very pleased with the result and the trees don't shed branches. Had my bonsai for 25 years now and they are the best ever this year.

Definitely the clip-and-grow developed maples look more natural. I never wire Japanese maples nowadays, because their bark scars so quickly, and then can take up to ten years for the spiral scar to become unnoticeable as the bark matures.

Been searching for a video which can simply show how things can and could/should be done. Without doubt the very best video I have seen after such a lot of searching this gentleman has helped me so very much in a short time. Starting very young sycamore/Maple sapling so plenty of work to do over a long time but now very much more confident in what i can achieve. Thank you so much.

Thank You Sir!! I have seedlings of trees, I thought I need to plant them first and make them big and then cut the trunk and plant it on a pot to make a Bonsai. 😭😭😭 Thanks for sharing your knowledge and wisdom 🥰😍🎊🎊
