It's true. I watched an older video and didn't recognize her house until I saw the PVC in the corridor. I was so pleasantly shocked and inspired that she has come this far. Judith is my aunty in my head, shauri yake 🤣🤣🤣🤣. The inspiration over just a few days has been immense

Hi Judith, thanks for this.. for the living room, how about you put two searing areas, each in with its own set? Look up "living room with two seating areas". One can be for intimate conversations with your friends or daughters and the other for general hosting and TV etc. For the worktops, i would say tile them and then add cabinet doors for storage and granite or tiles on the top. Look up DIY kitchen cabinets here on YT. Please don't take them down. You need storage. Grandkids will soon be celebrating school, graduations, etc and where will you keep your sufurias?

Perfect advice, I would not demolish the kitchen countertop. They are strong, just tile them nicely, your kids will not believe the transformation. I like the idea of having two sitting areas in the sitting room, a small one at a corner for small chit chats when you have many visitors.

Great progress. Piece of advice. Less is more for the seating room. As for the kitchen, you keep what you have. Building a house cost me much more because of building and breaking. Keep the concrete in the kitchen cause it has cost you money.

I like your house, you have done well and made lot of progress. I think the kitchen cement countertop is fine, you can just build around it cabinets of your choice , add shelves and cabinets doors that fit the space. Add ceramic wall tiles around the cement stand. Maybe add a ceramic Slab on the counter top. Old school is classic, unique and timeless. Don't mind young people who don't like that style. For now you want something that you like, if they don't like it they can change it when it's time to inherit the house.

Yes Judith you are doing well.The progress is good.On the kitchen Counter top, I think it is ok to use the cover you have used for the time being until you complete your finishing with tiles or whatever.Keep it up.

Good morning from the City to down the villages. How are you Judy, we are ok though rains everywhere. Your house is very beautiful. You have done so much. Let me tell you fundis can mess you up. I had issues with the frames faced in a way that you open the door on the outside, I had to change them. Pole pole you will make. Yes I would create a door to make that room ensuite, just get a good fundi to advice. Otherwise, fantastic job, the compound is really big and nice, i love the resting area with trees, that is what we need. I have not finished watching I will come back after finishing.

I have a question... how do you select doors? I have found that melamine doors are cheaper but would you recommend them? And for front doors, what are the advantages/disadvantages of steel/chuma/jua kali metal vs mahogany? I love your front door. Haya let me keep watching.

All doors are just fine, it depends on what you want to place. I did mahogany wood because I had already placed steel on the veranda entrance.

Concerning the kitchen top.The pvc lining to my understanding is just a stop gap measure.Dont take them seriously,especially if they are not giving you a solution.One starts with what is available first.You are past the baby steps.Uko vizuri.

Please you have a varanda for visitors ..l think you have to build a little out door barbecue summer hat away from the main house to grill and cook to entertain your visitors and family when they visit in hot season ..you also need outside toilet and bath house ..for you visitors convenience 🌹 well done
