Project Timelines - New Hubstaff Tasks Feature

In this video, we’re excited to announce the release of the new timelines feature in Hubstaff Tasks. This will give users even more flexibility when it comes to visualizing projects and resources.
How to Access The New Feature (00:32)
You’ll now find icons in the top right-hand corner of every project board. These icons will let you toggle between the Kanban and timeline views whenever you’d like.
The Timeline Layout (00:50)
The timeline itself will only show tasks that currently have designated start and end dates assigned to them. If you have a task with no specified timeframe added to it, you won’t find it here. However, we cover adding in unscheduled tasks a bit later in the video (timestamp?).
Opening Tasks on The Timeline (01:07)
While you’re in the timeline view, you’ll also be able to access all the important information about each task, just like you would be able to in the Kanban view.
Organizing Your Layout (01:23)
On the left, you can see who the different tasks on your timeline are assigned to. And just above that, you’ll be able to organize your timeline by day, week, month, or quarter. So you have control over how broad or focused you want your view to be.
There’s also one more way to organize your timeline and that’s by the different lists these tasks currently belong to. If you switch to this view, you’ll see who’s assigned to each task on the timeline. On the left, you’ll see the names of your lists, such as “Backlog,” “Ideas” “Ongoing,” etc.
Adding Unscheduled Tasks (01:27)
As I said above, you’ll also be able to add unscheduled tasks by dragging them and dropping them on your timeline. You can access a list of these tasks by using the calendar icon in the right-hand corner just above the timeline.
Creating a New Task (02:16)
You can also create a new task from the timeline view. All you need to do is name the task and then you can assign it to a specific Sprint and team member.
Roadmaps (02:43)
Finally, you’ll now see roadmaps as a way to organize and visualize your timeline. This will show you every task that’s currently assigned across all of your active projects. Just another way you can get a broad overview of everything that’s currently being worked on.

Hey Rittick! We certainly believe so but to be completely transparent Hubstaff Tasks is our tool so we are a tab biased on this one. Tasks does offer more features than just the Kanban boards that Trello is so well known for though. Tasks offers to-do lists, project timelines and much h more. If you'd like to you can try out the free version of Tasks to get a feel for it and see if you'd like to use it.
