Freaking STUNNING! Now my rant. No way that's a work from home office. I suspect you have none of what the client actually needs to do their job in that room. I'd love to see just how much of their belongings are stuffed in the garage at time of filming. I work from home. I have a laptop, mac tower and 2 32-inch monitors, ipads, back up drives and that's just the tech. It's unfortunate we always see designers ignore the absolutely imperative function when it comes to home offices for the sake of form and Instagram pics. Never seen a realistic beautiful home office from any designer. They put the desks in the middle of the floor like a person is supposed to have 11 cables just sitting there center stage.

So true. I KNOW it’s like this for filming purposes but show me what reality looks like too. Or if you really can have it this clean looking, show me how you hide everything. Is the printer in the cabinet? Is there a charging station for the laptop in the cabinet/ book shelf? Are the screens Bluetooth if there are no wires? Do you have that all running through a desk leg and through the floor?

Thanks for your feedback! Our clients are heavily involved in our design process. We put functionality and our clients' needs first, so this office is in fact functional for how they use it! As you can see, there is ample storage in the built in cabinetry as well. Hope you enjoyed the tour. 🖤

Exactly. Where’s the plugs for all my monitors and gadgets. They are in the walls. Not in the middle of the room lol so I have no choice but to put my desk by the wall or else there is cables everywhere shown

Like! Like! Like! The home is stunning. The kitchen and living room and views are stunning (and how you designed the whole house around the views is stunning.) I'm surprised there's no casual eating area, other than the island, but that doesn't seem like enough given the the dining room is a bit far away (and much more formal). This is the first project I've seen of yours and I look forward to seeing more. Beautiful work! -Also love the idea of the long ledge in the shower (brilliant! why has no one thought of that rather than those little cut out boxes? (that we have!)) There's more of an opportunity to have styling moments there also. Love that.

This was done and done well. oh good nest. There wasn't a thing i would change everything worked so well. Subscribed and headed to binge watch . lol 🥰

what are the paint colors used throughout?

We are renovating an old stone barn with windows similar to these. Would you recommend adding a shadow bar when ordering new windows or do you feel the extra cost is not worth it? Also, are the windows uPVC or another material? Wish you did work outside of the US! Simply lovely.

Hi! Thanks for your comment. Sounds like you have an exciting endeavour on your hands ☺ The windows in this project are Aluminum. When it comes to the shadow bar/grilles, we felt it was right for the aesthetic style of this project. It adds a level of charm, but by keeping the amount minimal, remains modern. Because they are thin, they don’t obstruct the view, simply add a little visual interest. We are currently working on a project where we have opted for horizontal grilles only (no vertical) which is another alternative for a modern look. Large windows without grilles would feel ultra-modern, in our opinion so it depends what your design intention is. In your case, adding the grilles could tie in the old-world qualities of the stone barn and create softer contrast between the aged and the modern elements. P.S. @@westofmaindesign Thank you for your response and I will certainly complete your survey. We are definitely opting for grilles to maintain the old-world charm, but when I asked about a shadow bar, I was referring to a sort of grill that is added in between the glass (in addition to the grilles on the outside and inside glass surfaces) so that you don't see the back sides of the grilles + when the sun shines through the window it creates one complete shadow on the floor instead of two separate grill shadows. The floor shadows aren't really my concern, but I do want to be sure I don't see the adhesive backing of the grilles. I noticed you opted not to add the shadow bar in between the grilles and would love to know if in person you see the adhesive tape or if you had to do anything in addition to make it look nice AND if you did it again, would you or would you not add the shadow bar (it's a notable extra cost)?

What I wouldn't do for this home. Do you have a website I can view for pictures?
