For me, I think that the most challenging stage of the project life cycle is Monitoring and Controlling, since you'll always be on the look-out for 'unknown unknowns' which may derail your project.

@@shanequasanders4820 One Exam Tip that really helped me out was remembering what the key Outputs are from each Process Group, and understanding the common ITTO Patterns. For example, Project Management Plan is typically an output of all Process Groups which start with "Plan ______" such as "Plan Quality Management" I'll list some ITTO Patterns down below, and hopefully this helps out! :) 1. Except for Integration Management, Work Performance Data is an input on "Monitoring" Process Groups. 2. Change Requests are Outputs of all Monitoring & Control Process Groups, except for "Perform Integrated Change Control". 3. Change Requests are also Outputs of all Execution Process Groups, except for "Manage Project Knowledge" and "Manage Communications." >> The key output of Perform Integrated Change Control are Approved Change Requests. >> Remember that Change Requests are processed through 'Perform Integrated Change Control' and result in 'Approved Change Requests'

Planning is definitely a challenging phase, since you have to make sure that all areas are included when you're developing your schedule, requirements, scope, budget, etc.

Planning is definitely a very challenging stage in a project's life cycle, especially since you're just getting started and you're trying to rally the troops to define the project plan, requirements, schedule, and budget.
