Project GTi - Alloy Wheel Refurbishment
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
The MicksGarage.com Experts demonstrates We wanted to do something about the wheels on our Mk5 GTi project car to improve the appearance.
We got in touch with local alloy wheel specialists Rim Solutions, popped down to see them and had a chat about what they could do for us. We were impressed! Not only by the range of finishes available but by the amazing contrast between the tatty wheels being dropped in by customers and the pristine refurbished examples being handed back.

Was hoping for a DIY like your other videos, not the solution to be 'take it somewhere to get done'.
So many negative comments! Of course it's not DIY. But it is a good and reasonably priced way to bring back the original looks of the car. It's only expensive because of the CNC machining process used on these ones. If you just want refurbishing and powder coating it's around £50 a corner all in, and you won't get much in the way of replacement alloys for that price.
Excellent service you provide guys
that was an amazing watch! great video!
I'm impressed after watching this!

Robert Andy Baggett Too professional. ... I am going to refurbish myself this alloy wheels. Need to buy undercoater, special aluminium paint. It works. Chip and fast.
Where are you based I have golf ed 30 alloys that all need doing?
Much cheaper option for an older car with stock rims: clean properly & apply rubber spray. It can be easily removed if you get bored of the color ;)
how much is it? I considering to have my wheels done.
nice job

Great work indeed! Just wondering: why use acid if they have a blasting machine? (quicker and more environment friendly)

I don't think you want to blast the hell out of them. That would pitt them. The final sandblast is just a touch up.
What is the chemical you use to strip wheels?
would really like the chance of having my wheels refurbished as I've only just bought it thanks
I see them O.Z alleggerita 😍
Well this company seem to have done a great job. Had two of my son car Lexus at speedy tyres the job was done very poorly they did not repair any dents,& did not check that the rim was bend end up paying for it to be repair.
Super job. Nice to see the wheels being refurbed by professionals. Far better to keep local people employed rather than buying new in from China
