Out if my big collection, the only palettes that expired badly on me were the Huda Desert Dusk (dried out) and ABH Modern Renaissance (started smelling like chemicals). My Chocolate Bar still works nicely. Most palettes never seem to expire imo.

I'm so weird. I've thought about creating a custom palette, but then I start to feel bad/sorry for the shades that I'd end up tossing. I don't know if thanking them (like Marie Kondo said) and apologizing for not liking them first would help. 😟 But I'm excited to see your custom palette! 😁

Hahaha they should! I will say, though, that because I've felt that way, my decision to buy a palette (or a set) is now more thought out and I try to look at swatches and read reviews first. If I'm not going to use the majority of the colors, I don't need it.

If you think you' re weird, let me tell you: I draw the same face 😞 or this one 😢 with a marker on fruits I don' t especially love. When I open the fridge, there they are all staring and me begging to be chosen. And that' s how I end up eating them because otherwhise I' d feel too guilty.

Lol, I might have to do that on bananas so I remember to eat them before they get too ripe.

I love this series. I really enjoy “frankesteining” my palettes, mainly Melt and Colourpop because they’re magnetic and very easy to make swaps with, but also Nabla, because I’m a sucker for their special sparkly shades. I turned one of their bigger palettes into about three mid-tone browns with different undertones, a couple of very dark mattes a couple regular shimmers and everything else is shifty sparkly glitter goodness. I haven’t bought Too Faced in years because I developed a chocolate allergy about 5 years ago and their products, even when good quality, are a minefield. I remember wanting the Natural Lust palette and thinking I’d be fine because as it wasn’t on the “Chocolate” line and then checking the ingredients and there being cocoa in the formula, yet the Natural Nudes palette is cocoa-free. Nope.

I've never really been crazy about the brand. When I saw the problems with Jeff, that made the decision for me. I only had a couple of items, but I haven't bought any since then.

I'm working on panning my peach palette atm, I find that the brown shimmers are a little too similar for my taste. That luscious shade is absolutely beautiful though. Too Faced! More of that please!

The photos of you showing the colors of the shadows are gorgeous (your selfies are gorgeous) 🤩😍 Also collared shirts look really good on you

Too Faced has always been the brand for an easy to use, every day look-which is what made it a favorite for years. Personally, I have found that over the years the busier my day, the easier I want my eye makeup to be.

You don't need to apologise for the dismantling/reassembling of your palettes; seconds before you mentioned it, I already thought about it. It is perfectly logical to do so. I very much enjoy these revisits, also to see a brand all across. Q: when you're done with these themed declutters... have you considered then grouping them by formula/performance or simply by dupe-colours and further declutter from the stash? I am not sure how brutal are your plans regarding the reducing of your collection :D p.s: loved the gold eye + bright orange + deep purple aesthetic on you : )

I don't think so to be honest. Once I decide on keeping a palette, I don't think I want to declutter it just because of redundant shades or finishes (mainly because I reach for the same shades most days anyway).This declutter won't be nearly as brutal as the lip one because I don't have nearly as many palettes as I have lipsticks. I am also aware that if I over declutter then it might make me want to purchase more to fill in gaps that I got rid of, which I dont want to do. I just want to get rid of some old palettes that I realistically don't need. So if I decide to keep a palette, I will either keep it in my collection to use, or I will ear mark it to pan.

They are a bit like books haha. Yeah I just know that my lip collection is way more out of hand and they will go off before I get around to using much of it. I probably have over 50 red shades that look the same, and I don't even wear red lipsticks every day! To me that's a bigger issue than having a couple of eyeshadow palettes that have similar colour stories.

I’m excited to see your custom palette. I feel the same way about my Sweet Peach palette. I love the shade luscious. Every time I use my palette, I gravitate towards that shade. My husband compliments me every time.

I have mixed feelings about Too Faced eyeshadow palettes. They have some of my favourite colour stories, but they always crease on me, no matter what primer I use (although I watched some recent declutters from Floating in Dreams and she mentioned that she double primes her eyelids to prevent creasing, so I might try that and see if it helps). If you make the custom palette, would you film that, too? Because that would be so fun to watch.

Excited to see how the depotting and customising goes. I've been doing this over the last couple of years with my palettes. Often you end up with 1 palette you are excited about and love to use, Vs 2 or more than you feel meh about, cos there's only a few shades you love. I can really see myself in the future moving to singles that I customise myself. Sick of dead weight in my eyeshadow palettes

I don't think I've caught the depotting virus haha. I actually hate depotting, and have avoided it for years, but I hate it slightly less than the idea of keeping 3 palettes for only a handful of shades. I am annoyed at myself whenever that's the conclusion to these videos haha.

I came to the conclusion a few years ago that Mr. Blandino doesn't deserve to have my money.. 😎✌🏼🇬🇧💜

The natural nudes was the palette I used on my wedding day last year, I love it🥰

I used to own several of the tin packaged too faced palettes and all but the Sweet Peach palette has been decluttered and I will NEVER be able to get rid of it until it looses the peaches smell. I LOVE that smell!! 🍑🍑🍑🧡🧡🧡

I've just decluttered eight of my ten Too Faced palettes! I only kept the Chocolate Gold and the Sweet Peach (the latter purely for sentimental reasons)., 🍑

Damn, I really wanted to sleep, but there is no way I am missing this video.

I bought the gingerbread and the peach and I ended up giving the peach to my 10yo daughter lol. She’s just going to get a lot more use and enjoyment out of it the color scheme than I am. I don’t use the gingerbread as much as I thought I would. I think I’ll pull it out and make an effort to use it this month

TF natural lust is my favorite everyday palette!!!! I bought the chocolate gold palette last year and it looks like it's moulding in a couple shades. Now I won't buy eye shadows past the year they were released so I know it wasn't just sitting on a shelf the whole time lol.

I need to cull my eyeshadows but I am just too attached to them. I don't even wear much makeup now except a base and mascara since having twins 🤣

Yeah I feel you. It is harder with having a kid (or kids), but I still wear eyeshadow most days but I really speed up my look and usually go for a one and done shade (today I wore that champagne shade that I swatched from the Sweet Peach palette and it was fantastic as a quick 20 second all in one shade, and it even wore well with no primer). So I am still attached to my eyeshadows and I still wear them, but I no longer value having so much of it. Also I don't find the bright/fun/artistic makeup as special as I used to, because I just never get a chance to wear anymore.

I ended up decluttering the Natural Nudes palette. While I really liked it, it was a deal breaker that the lightest 2 shimmer shades were so chunky. I agree on the idea to have a satin in between.

Heyo! I was gonna comment of the apocolip but wasn’t sure if you’d see! With the lhcosmetics fantastick in famous: try it as a blush! It’s beautiful (at least with my coloring haha)

I really like the look of the Born This Way palette but I wish the whole palette came in a darker shade. I feel like all the shades “work” on light skin. But I’d love a version that was everything a couple shades darker. :)

@@DJSteenie They sell individuals. Epping Plaza has a location in Melbourne. There are others as well. The sales people there are Make Up Artists too, so they can actually help you find what you want.

The duo chrome pink to gold, do you have any recommendations for a single pan like it. And how did you apply it, and was it the only thing on your lids?

The only dupe I have found (but I haven't looked very hard) is a limited edition MAC highlighter called Dazzlered. That is also probably hard to track down, but maybe if you search for dupes it will lead you to some permanent options. I just applied it over a normal primer and blended the edges with a matte. So it was the main thing in that look :)

Check JD Glow, Clionadh, Devinah. Pink and gold duochrome should be obtainable.

I’ve decided that I’m going to declutter my ‘born this way’ palette, half of them won’t stay on my eyes, and a few of them are just shades I won’t use. I might depot a couple of shades, but I literally never reach for it, so I may as well get rid of it. I just need to order a few singles that I don’t have like a dark brown and a mid-tone brown. 😂

Ever since you first reviewed that Born this Way palette, I’ve wanted it. Have you seen the latest release in that format? I can’t seem to stop customising my own palettes. I remove every glitter. I’ve redesigned several Colourpop. I have my fav palette from Sidney Grace that’s customised. Thank you again for this very informative video. That straw hat was so adorable on you. Looked like you were going to a picnic. 💕🐾💕👒

I wish palettes where easy to depot. It maybe easy for others not for me I find. I have palettes I’m keeping for 3 shades. ABH. It would condense my drawers so much. I would love to see you pull them apart. I find I’ve been buying minis. Like the viseart or Natasha Denona. May not be gram for dollar cost effective but for me it’s best.

I only own the Chocolate Gold and while I like the shades, I don't like the smell, it's far too strong for my liking. I'm pretty curious what happens when you combine chocolate-, peach- and gingerbread-scented shades in your custom palette.

In Australia Mecca has exclusivity with Too Faced, so the TF website won't even ship to Australia unfortunately

Because Mecca has exclusive rights to sell in Aus/NZ. TF has given Mecca that right so they have blocked shipping to us. The Too Faced website only ship to a few countries, so they don't technically do worldwide shipping. The biggest letdown about that is that we can't access their sales and website/US exclusive products

Not at the moment, I am sort of over buying palettes until I sort out my collection, but if I swatch it and love it.... who knows haha

Haha it would have to be an amazing pun. I already did a one off foundation test and declutter video last year and I don't have any new foundations since then so that's off the cards, and right now I am very content with my drawer of blushes/bronzers/highlighters. If it starts to overflow too much I just sacrifice the weakest link to the decluttering gods.

Decluttered chocolate and sweet peach. I bought born this way and really regret it. The mattes are lovely; only one of the shimmers is any good….such an expensive disappointment.

That's a shame, I really like the shimmers! I guess it's another case of skin chemistry working with a formula or working against it

I find that too faced shadows irritate my eyes so i cant use them sadly. I think its actually the ingredient making them sweet

Oh! I always thought it was the talc in them, but that’s interesting. I always loved my palette but often would put up with uncontrollable watering and itch.

@@beaherzberg only ever had this with too faced, so I'm guessing its the saccharin derivative in them. I have no issues with drugstore, indie or high end shadows :(

I'd say if your gonna pull pans. Try a heat gun over a hair dryer.

Toddlers live makeup regardless. My little one destroyed 2 of my colourpop pallets. I ended up having to put child safety locks on all my makeup drawers to stop her.
