Thanks for the testing. Interesting how youtubers differ in their perception of some of the builds (e.g. Frrost Nova). I'd probably do a necro for start this time (CE, yay).

Agreed - after seeing theirs I was rather underwhelmed when I tried it myself. I guess some of this can be constrewed with how we felt about it too... partially subjective partially from testing. Tried to keep as even as possible. Forb etc is just much safer than nova and you lack single target dmg is why its placed there.

In s1 and s2 i always went for CE but now im happy about the changes its where it should've been in tier list

You're welcome Cryptonaire... I think I am not very technically good at the WC barb, and wasn't blown away with it.... It's definitely one of the debatable ones but no way near outperforms the S tier builds. :D

I want to play poisin/plague java but this list makes me think I should start with frozen arrow. I love that build too lol so I'm glad either way. spent most of my time the last two seasons with a summon druid (I only really play 1-2 charactgers to about 90 and then I'm done for the season, I don't quite go as hard as some folks) and I may end up spending a lot of time with amazon this season. Thanks so much for the list.

You are welcome John! Yes well the voice of reason runeword makes cold arrow so good, and its buffs to single target damage it's really strong, so definitely sounds like a plan!

Very good explaination , Do you have got also the guides for the builds that you represent ?? ( maybe from A to S rank ) . Also , they all can do all the games in solo ? I love to have a character that can do everythink in solo ( like the necro summoner with physical and magical skeletrons ) thanks for everythink , I joined your discord also sanyways

Hey mate, I don't have guides for them all actually, certainly could if it was of interest! Yes they can do everything solo, every character can with the right gear! Great man, then speak there :)

Also now that I have actually watched the whole video haha. I'll be starting with an enchantress for fun and also will have melee friends to help. Will probably switch that to blizz or ice barrage for hell farming. Also probably will start a javazon second who will hopefully be my uber killer once I get the right gear!

I started and mainly play my druid summoner. It is probably the top easiest class to level up and farm pre-hell Still wearing aldur's set since a week ago My mercenary act5 used to wear full IK set but i found out that act1 with wrath bow is much better with the constant amplify damage curse

Interesting, I heard that wrath is the BiS, with vigor merc it's sexy. Wouldn't a beast on you be a great upgrade with fanat for your adds too? None the less, summoner is a great, safe choice for farming, there's definitely just faster builds!

This video prove that i should not start as a zealer paladin although I'm still not sure.

My starter isnt here - If I do end up playing :D Good list regardless, Although those lists are really hard to make as you could make an early ladder build jump a whole tier if you just kept farming the same area over and over. Like if you just teleport to bosses with a sorc, Hyda easily jumps to S tier along with meteor. But if you want to clear the way through, I feel like those are good tier to be in as you put them already. (just 1 exemple among many)

Hey mate, welcome to the best version of D2 you will play. :-) How you enjoying it so far? Nothing in particular you "should" know. As long as you are familiar with maps, what they are, the key changes to ubers and clone etc you are fine. Main thing is pick a class you like and enjoy the process!

Honestly cant believe it's as active as it is. It's been great. The community is great. Ripped on HC once rerolled Paladin foh build now I'm back lvl 51 and it's going well. When do you transition to mapping?

You know what's insane? I JUST remembered the Season 2 Tier List and went to KZread to check if there is one out for S3 already and was about to type "pd2 s2 tier list" when youtube recommended this to me and it was uploaded 3 hours ago !!!! WTFFF

I rate double throw and lightstrike javazon ++S By testing all the builds in single player using plugy and s3 updated item pack.

ww is not a "starter". starters are characters to get you going, do some mf runs until u find some mandatory uniques/sets for your actual build. if u find an eth gavel of pain you can probably start mapping with a leap barb

Just picked up PD2. Trying to run a werebear build. Not on the list... starts sweating

This is a starter build tier list, late game throw barb is very strong, but until you have a few basic items it's a struggle... Same with phys Bowazon.

what about fury druid?

No whirlwind barb on the list?

Max foh and synergies, rest in holy shield and whatever aura you use most. Builds are pretty straight forward in pd2, it's the gearing that's sometimes tricky.

Is the psn nova in such bad shape that its not even on your list? :D

Where is holy bolt?

how is lightning trap c tier. it has the highest base damage you can reach with literally zero investment.

For me yes, if you go to B tier discussion you'll hear why... It was ok, but fire druid was significantly better that they had to be separate Tiers and I could only put fire druid to A so it had to be B. I knew this would be a controversial one. Ultimately though, play what you prefer and find most fun!

What happend to ww bab? No good anymore? So bad didn't make the list? This saddens me

Most rate builds in more developed state, and in cows map. Here he rates starting builds in hell cows.

Assassin is probably the worst class to play in pd2 -.-. After 1 month i do not even much assassin players in hell or maps anymore

Hi Moon - yes assassin got some heavy nerfs. It was literally insane last season, this season it's a bit more niche with MA sin coming out as one of the more popular builds. Traps are a little dead in the water. It's ashame, cant even sell assa torch for gul. :D We will likely see them getting revived a little next season, because I agree, it sucks...

This guy has meteor in A and wind Druid in b so I know this list is bogged

Did you hear my discussion as why? Fire druid was clearly > wind druid, it had to be separate tiers... with Fire druid in A the highest I could put it in was B. Also Meteor outperformed Wind too at cows and A85 farming speed.... I knew that might be a controversial one with windy, but it's how it really felt for me.

@@ImMalevolent Hmm fair enough, it perhaps could be bumped up a tier, it just felt so underwhelming compared to the fire druid tested before it wouldn't have been fair to keep them together, but maybe the fact that was the main comparison makes it unfair. Appreciate your input, definitely some degree of wiggle with some of the placements.

I'm curious what FCR breakpoint you were testing them on? Sorry if I missed it. I tested both budget builds at the 99 breakpoint in similar areas and Wind seemed to perform slightly better / faster. It also just felt better, but that's likely my bias speaking. Anyway, thanks for the great content!

This tier list is crap tbh. All of the other youtubers say to not use meteor at any costs coz its bad as hell now. And You put it in "A" tier... Hydra is like no brainer easy to play skill and You put it on "B" tier... Lightning nova + lightning storm is very viable now and You put it in "C" tier...

Sheeniq, you can watch the vods if you like... lightning sucks early. Ofc it will be great late game, but this is a starter build. Lightning isnt built for early game. Meteor > hydra, And nerfs to hydra, in comparison to its other fire builds is definitely slower. Appreciate your input though, it's always up for discussion this was how i felt with my testing.
