    Thank you for the work y’all do! As a current UT Austin student and former resident in west campus I love this concept. Currently in tech ridge center area and would love to just be able to take a light rail from the station up here to the drag at school. (Not just saying that cause I’m having car troubles right now either lol)

    There is no train to Tech Ridge or station there. The light rail wouldn’t run for almost a decade, will you still be in school then? Think it through - it’s $500 million per mile, that raises taxes and ultimately your rent.

    More like welcome to 1920s USA, before we got the bright idea to rip up what used to be world class transit systems and level cities to turn them into highways and parking lots.

    The US used to be world famous for it’s very sizable public transit systems. Austin used to have a 23 mile long streetcar network for a city of 40,000 which was removed in 1940, replacing it with buses. The tracks would be torn up during WW2 for scrap metal for the war effort.
