PROJECT BRUTALITY 3.0 - Descent into Darkness of DOOM

PROJECT BRUTALITY 3.0 together with Descent into Darkness by Skitplade Miles, Man And A Half difficulty level, Chaotic Random spawn preset with a nice appearance of the upgraded Ripper Chaingun! Project Brutality 3.0 is an upcoming version of one of the best available mods for the classic Doom - expect a lot of fun when playing it. Please note that the Project Brutality 3.0 in its current state is still Work In Progress, so bugs are to be expected, together with crashes to desktop (same with addons, they are not 100% always compatible and actual). The track at the beginning is of course a cover of Duke Nukem 3Ds Grabbag, you could hear the exact same track while playing Duke Nukem Forever 2013 in the level called 'Born To Be Wild', that one where you travel by a motorcycle. Welcome to the Descent Into Darkness mappack, this one contains 4+1 maps that player has to complete (1 of them is a secret really short level that is a complementary to the third map), levels vary a lot in terms of difficulty in my opinion. Mappack has strong Quake vibes because of the textures (wood, metal, lava and water almost everywhere) and the setting with a lot of small caves to explore, ambushes behind fake walls and well this mappack takes place in a castle itself. First map in my opinion is the most difficult one because we of course have to build up our arsenal so we start from scratch, there are some great weapons at level 1 for you to find though, but it's really great for you to get ALL 7 Secrets. Another thing that you have to watch out during whole playthrough are literally INVISIBLE monsters that cannot be seen unless they attack, a pretty nasty feature that begins since start and these annoying invisible shotgunners too. Maps have a really nasty claustrophobic feeling as a lot of them do not have so much space player to run around, it's quite easy to get blocked by multiple monsters, especially by Pinkies - hell, you might even find an invisible Mancubus in one place. It's important for you to get as many secrets as possible, most of them are not really that hard to find (especially with dynamic lighting turned on because you might find some glow behind fake walls) and goodies are needed a lot, Megasphere included. First two maps are quite short and might take you between six to eight minutes to complete them, the longest is the third one with over 200 monsters to be found, take a look that the initial number is pretty low but they are spawned while playing. s a last thing keep an eye on the hazards because in some places you will have to dive in lava, this mappack pretty much demands jumping and crouching because some places require them for a progress.

    Just want to say, thank you so much for adding in map packs in the mod description. You got a lot of interesting maps up on display and way too many folks on KZread put mods in the description but don't put the maps in.

    I was playing some of PB 3.0, but I haven't seen the glory kills there. When you have a berserk, you can "rip and tear", but I've seen no blinking indicator allowing to glory kill a baron. Is it a separate mod to download? Or it's just recently added?

    They are upgrades randomly placed instead of backpacks - in overall you have standard buckshot & slugs, Flak Shells from ASG, Dragon's Breath from Pump Action Shotgun and then Danmaku, Phosphorus, Explosive + Flechette.

    I installed PB 3.0 today... Its just me or the mod actually suffers from a constant lack of ammo? Like, i was in the firs room of a wad, on "Brutal" dificulty, and i k1lled twelve guys, when get all the ammo from the floor it was around 15 bullets.. Wich is what took to kill half of them... i basically run dry in the first room, how im supposed to play this game then? Fist everyone is suicide... the ammo box sprite have more bullets on it than it gives you... Is there any way to solve this stuff? Besides changing to a lower dificulty...

    @@MartinozO It was my third playtrough on the first BloodLine MegaWad... This is why i found the ammo thing weird, with Brutal Doom 21 and Insanity Requiem 1.5, there was plenty of ammo...

    @@oimeuchapa6995 Cause you pick up different ammo for different guns, that's why. There are plenty of ammo types that replace vanilla pickups.

    @@MartinozO there are diferent types of ammo for the rifle? It was that first bit of the map with a church in a empty valley... There was only those pricks with Axes and RifleMans, i guess there was more axes than bullets in the floor...

    Since the moders are to I guess lazy to give guns a side profile, every gun no matter how detailed looks like a NUB in the middle of the screen
