Sticking powder......use fabric softener sheets wipe it down discs and down the tube

Outstanding video and explanation of the necessary mods to make the LLM work. I am in the process of buying one and have searched the Tube for one concise video that outlines the must do's to make it work - this is it. Great video. Would be nice to see how to tweak the case feeder system.

Love mine have 3. Only 20 years old. AT least 30k rounds made. On each one always sorted my cases

Well it was an easy fix. I ground down the shell pusher top that came with my press that was set up for 45. The 9m now stands proud of the shell pusher by just a bit. Then filled the hole with epoxy and I filed and sanded. Works great with 9m and 45 colts. The hole is from removing the plastic on the top.

Put a dryer sheet in the powder ben that will stop the powder from sticking

Popping those 9mm's thru the Lee Makarov taper crimp die in their bulge bustin set-up,,,,.BRILLIANT to say the least,how'd you figure that out,,,,I occasionally have 9's that don't totally drop in the case gauge.Your little trick fixes that real quick..thank you sir Best Regards rSb

+rhodes6858 Sorry for the delay, been on the Fires in Wa. State. I found an article online about a year ago, don't remember where I found it. But I figured it was worth a try so I bought the die and ran some through. I also have some cases that don't drop in to a case gauge from time to time. I'm not 100% sure what causes that, but I assume its the case losing it "stretchiness" and not wanting to reform as well. Have a good one! Thanks for checking out my video!

I could not use my bullet feeder either The problem with the bullet feeder seemed to be the jacketed or plated bullet to slick The all lead bullets would work.

Thanks for a great video! At 25:35 you mentioned that it takes some tinkering to get the case feeder to shove the case "all the way in" to the shell plate. I'm struggling with that - what tinkering do you do?? Any help would be more than appreciated.

You ever have an issue with the index rod not coming all the way out and resetting. I have retimed my load master and it still does it many times.

I have finally gotten it working 98% of the time . Had to use a new indexing rod and lube the hell out of everything with antiseieze before it would work though even after polishing all internal pieces. I love my load master have many thousands of pistol and few thousand rifle through it already . Cant afford another press or parts for that matter currently my extra money goes on powders and primes PMSL !!!!

Your swage might not be right if your bullet doesn't sit slightly in the case, you are having to hold it all the way to the top? Right?

How do you bulge bust a 9mm,a tapered case ?

You can't use a standard 9mm, you have to use the 9mm Makarov crimp die with the guts removed.

Looking to get in to reloading, both pistol (9, 40, and 10) and rifle (5.56, 270, various .30s, and 350) cases. For rifle, I am thinking of doing two press set-up assembly. First would be a single stage to decap, then tumble, then back to the single stage to neck size, following with a trimmer. Changing neck sizing dies to match caliber. Second press would be a progressive set up to prime, charge, seat bullet, and crimp neck. Changing the turret with dedicated dies mounted for each particular caliber. Buying a new caliber components and turret set up each year until I have what I need to load for the rifles I have. Would Lee's loadmaster progressive be acceptable for a budget minded, able to grow set-up?

Yes the Lee would be ok, but I would save up a little more and get a Dillon.

@@vaughnprecision Finicky as in breaking all the time, or takes patience to dial in the dimensions? I have done auto repair, and residential hvac where the customers are finicky for 15 years. Also have done commercial and federal electrical construction where differing request have to be met simultaneously. If that is the only difference between the two, them my 30 year truck will be jealous of the Lee. I do appreciate your warning on the temperment, and the suggestion of easier. However, time to wait is not available if I wish to get into this portion of competition shooting. Thank you.

I could not get the damn shell feeder to work on 9mm cases. Would insert in the push arm correctly. But the next case bottom gets hung on the push arm and you can't push past. It should slide across the top of the push arm. but is sitting below so when the pusher arm goes to push the bottom shell to shell plate. The shell case right on top is hanging up on push arm and does not slide across the top of it. what is the fix?

Adjust the space between the bottom and the top of shell with a penny.

@@fredkilian4049 Nope none of that worked either. I just bought the universal shell unit. Its got a low pusher that is shorter than the 9mm and an add on for tall shells. It has two different feed holes you can use. a small and a large. Now works like a charm. One hassle truly fixed.

if the primer is sticking out why is the case trash?

There could be a problem with the size of the primer pocket. Salvage the brass.

The bullet feeder works just fine, follow its instructions that came with it if you can read!
