After searching about Gdp Per Capita in Middle East for our report i found this video today. I was amazed that Israel in 2020 is wealthier than Canada, NZ, Japan and UK and was more amazed about how this country progressed at all without natural resources to export. Great job Israel.

GDP figures must be used with caution. GDP per capital is not a measure of personal income. We need to consider PPP or purchasing power parity also. Adjustment for the cost of living in different countries. Currency fluctuations and exchange rates. Some nations GDP figures are subject to material distortion by tax revenues. The Times of Israel,December 2020 issue documented the portion of Israeli households in poverty at 29.3%. 850,000 households lacking food, adequate healthcare and education etc etc etc. Makes for grim reading and sadly has grown worst due to this pandemic. That aside, awesome video series and as a Jewish man a place close to my heart. And yes Israel has done a great job over the decades and with gas resources how available, this nation by using these resources wisely can create the growth required to lift many out of the sad predicament they find themselves in.

@@mmccbb7mcb278 keep in mind tho that most population that lives in poverty in Israel are religious and doesn’t participate in economic workforce due to cultural or religious reason. But still this nation have achieved an astounding place and ranking. Out of 205 nation i would crown Israel as the most impressive. Singapore and South Korea is great but this nation doesn’t have conflict with neighboring ( Yes SK is in strife with NK) but it has a great relationship with Japan probably not complicated relationship with China and Taiwan. Israel on the other hand have a strife almost all of its neighbors. Israel’s relationship with Egypt and Jordan are mostly complicated.

@@jia7302 if that’s a case then why is most Israelis still live a comfortable life compared to kiwis in New Zealand, Some Brits in UK and people in Hong Kong?
I made Aliya to Bet Shemesh ten years ago. Since then there are FIVE new beautiful neighborhoods with reasonably priced apartments and great facilities, parks, malls, high tec areas, schools, Shuls, etc etc. it’s half way between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem so you have the town surrounded by the breathtaking countryside. It’s time to join us.

This looks so raw and new...I would love to see it in 10 years when all the trees grow in and flowers overflow the balconies...looks out on the forest which already looks quite green and grown in.... a nice place to raise a family.
