sir at transmission of 8251 you wrote receives parallel data its wrong ,corretc one is TRANSMITTS PARALLEL DATA MP

receives serial from peripheral devices and transmits parallel to mp or recieves parallel from mp and transmits serial to Peripheral devices. So, he is right and you're not wrong as well.

Receives parllel data from microprocessor and convert it in to serial for transmission
Ye sab kyu ratna padta hai yar. This is very bad. Memorising this has no use.
