Here is a short video how to program a key from the Discovery 3/ LR3 using a Nanocom.
The blank key and fob were inexpensive and purchased on ebay.

Why did you need a different cable?
You need nanocom with Discovery 3 unlock code? How do you get the unlock code?

You need a working key with the Nanocom to program a new key

Black Box solutions....another company make the GAP II tool that is also very good for diagnosing LR3 and Discovery 3s and will program keys
what do i do if i’ve lost transponder?

If both fobs are loss I guess you will have to go to the dealer

I’ve just got a brand new fob from the dealer but it won’t work as I can’t sync it to the car as I don’t have a working fob to use etc etc

@@michaelwallace5341 You will need a working fob to be able to program a second fob. The fobs are inexpensive at Lucky8 off road

@@cltrovers I don’t have a working fob, lost the key and ordered a new one from the Landrover dealership, it turns ignition on etc but won’t take immobiliser off or unlock/lock on the remote buttons.

@@michaelwallace5341 I think you will need to have the Land Rover dealer program at least one fob for you
