The Dlab centrifuge is not a good one. Mine went out on me for no reason during a test. I lost customers because of it. 😢 four e is a better brand I am learning. Also, you might want to add that there should be NO BUBBLES in the serum/ buffer mix when you put it into the window of the cartridge.

Serum or plasma is fine Validation is based on the numbers you see and how they progress. If in doubt compare with a lab result

In my opinion they both work. Target is more of a color test. If you go to vet you get numbers like this machine. Both will work but this machine is above the target testing.

So what is 12.72? 12.72 what? Days? mL? ng? Should have taken a close up of the print out it might have helped some.

I'm using it and found that the test results weren't up to the standards. I compared the results of the two tests. The results of the two matches But the results from this machine are not correct. and is highly anticipated

You can collapse the vein your not suppose to do blood draws from the cephalic vein

Interesting I have probably done a thousand with out a single issue

So why is it that every time my dog goes to have her progesterone levels tested they make me get an x-ray so I end up spending $300 per visit for a “progesterone” check?

U can start at 12 then hit her again the next day at 15 , as far as insinination goes

Is it normal for the level to drop? My girl started her heat on last Sunday and by Wednesday she was at 1.87 and today(Saturday) she is at 1.47. The place we took her says it’s normal and to bring her back in 3 days

I have female German shepherd . She was in heat. On 9th day her progesterone level is 16 ng /ml . Upto day 14 she allowed for mating. But she bleeds upto 21 days. On 21st day her progesterone level again drops to 1.6 ng/ml. Is there any problem with her ?

You forgot to mention that the centrifuge needs to be loaded evenly in weight otherwise they vibrate very badly shortening the lifespan of the machine and potentially harming tests

I bought the machine. The buffer solution is in the box of test kit. One buffer tube for each test. It’s already pre filled

When in doubt just drowned the area with rubbing alcohol 🤦‍♂️

P.S. a smaller syringe actually makes MORE of a vacuum/negative pressure against the lumen/wall of the vein. Larger syringes generate LESS negative pressure, thus not collapsing the vein. Also, no need for a tourniquet, just have the holder compress the medial vein (towards the dog), with their thumb. I stopped watching after these two egregious errors in an “instructional video.” …smh🙄

How is that possible. A lArge syringe moves a lot more volume for a small movement of the syringe hence more vacuum 1ml versus 13 ml 13 times as much vacuum. And for those not sure. Compare a 13ml versus 1ml to draw blood Abd see which you prefer and report back here And there are many ways to clamp the vein All work fine
