"But Is this a talent?" No truer words have ever been said. Maybe they should just rename the show to America's Just Different.
in Brazil a lot of parents give their children a recorder, but the toy version, just like violin and guitar, but I play the actual recorder, and you wouldn't believe how many times people have seem me play and asked "is this that toy? does it actually make a sound?" people think that only the flute is the real instrument, and I always have to explain etc.

I play the recorder, people always tell me that you played the "flute" very well haha😅. Recorder is an underrated instrument, but it sounds good in the hands of a professional.

it is exactly the same situation here in Germany. Many children got a very cheap recorder in elementary school and never managed to play it, not even in a simple way. There are even jokes about the recorder, which mean, something is very easy and sounds horrible. The people who decided to give elementary kids a recorder did not a good thing, in my opinion.
Jasmine, you probably won’t read this, but every time I see a video of yours I get motivated to play. I’m in my fifth year now, and I almost stopped in my 3rd year, because I got bullied. (Because I’m a boy), but you helped me to persevere. Thank you for existing and motivating😅, thanks to you, I won a music tournament with a classic, “badinerie”. You probably won’t read this, but thanks, and sorry for my English by the way.😅

5:10 That's Bansuri and it has a lot of ornamentation techniques and the gliding is called as Meend if I am not wrong.
This is the talent show of the Law. To play the flute well is one thing, but to reveal the truth and illusions to the masses is another.
i love the relaxing, serene effect in symphonies after the most intense moments. of course people would found flute boring. i feel sorry for them because they dont have the sense for such performances. we appreciate your art❤
You can make a video where you rank the 10 parts for the flute you like best from all kinds of periods, I'm interested ;) And I love your videos!!
Your videos are amazing! Can you watch some videos about the Indian flute 🇮🇳🇮🇳, called the bansuri, and share your perspective? It's an ancient instrument with unique techniques and a rich history. Indian music is very precise and traditional, and there's so much to learn from it. It would be great to hear your thoughts on the bansuri!
If somebody said those things to me, I would say, "But I'm NOT a flautist! I play the FLUTE, not a FLOUT!"
WoW.🎉🎉🎉
Jasmine, you have so much talent, and have put so much into your playing that you have no need of any 'crutches' to get people to listen to you.
What bothers me so much is that AGT is so saturated with “difference” that if a renowned flautist were to perform, judges would view their performances as boring rather than realizing the technicality, tone, and articulation that was acquired through years of work.
Love from India ❤❤
Hi jasmine!! i’ve been wanting to pick up the flute, and ur videos are very educational! keep it up!!
Im excited!
Jasmine, you are knowledgable and talented and I really enjoy hearing you discuss flute, flute playing, and hearing you. . I'm only a lowly (kidding) amateur woodwind player, including flutes, but I find flute to be as incredible and as worthy as any of the other instruments, of which I also play some strings. Music brings enrichment to the soul. Thank you for your service!
Please, keep making content! Love your personality ❤
Amazing! ✨️🪈✨️
3:09 7:17 Simon Cowell was the head judge and had lots of air time to express his personal feeling because he was boss of the show, for entertainment, nothing else, it didnt mean he was good commenting on any performing art or music. Dont take those serious. 😅
Hello! 👋🏻 I watch your videos every day.😍
please try indian bansuri (flute).
loved it
Who is subscriber of this channel and twosetter?
I like your smile.
I'm watching too
Unfortunately, the alto flute was a bit out of tune😂
A very different video today. 2x👍 I try to avoid talent shows, and still will be. But a couple of the players really did have talent. The others and the judges weeellll not so much to say. I play alto flute for myself and dont inflict it on others. ☺
This is going to be a very interesting video

I don't play the flute but I do enjoy the sound of the different types of them not really including the concert flute as it's too normal.
You inspire me in my violin playing. I would love to see you work up an "act" but just as a window to your mind.
Dear Jasmine, I like to watch your videos. I started to play recorder since my fifth grade, and eleven years ago I learned flute. I just have One month classes. I learned to play almost by my self. I often listen depreciative comments while I was playing the recorder. Sometimes I felt sorrow, but I didn't allow myself to get discouraged and untill now I play both. I like the recorder for it's easy to play at the level I play. Concerning the flute I love the sound of it. I have my Chanel in which I upload Christian hymns and Worship songs. I follow like othe Koream Flutists as Yeojin Han and Yubeen Kim, I don't know if you know them. Greetings from Portugal, I like your channel you are virtuoso Flutist and look a nice person.
Try playing "TRAIN WRECK" by James Arthur
I enjoyed the clips with people showing off real skills! 🥰 The fragments from the American edition... Hmm... If Those-Two-Guys could at least play their instruments well, one could assume they were just desperate to get some extra attention to jump-start their careers... But it wasn't even that... 🤦♀
Well as for they need not just play their flute but to do other thing, that’s the way the talent show goes😅 Judges cannot judge instrument talents. But indeed it is pity they say his playing recorder was horrible for them🙄
Yayy Indias got talent is so cool

my dear and godess of flute Jasmine choi, I challenge YOU to play ''Blue'' by Herman Beeftink. I would really appreciate that you play this piece because I searched and no one even tried to record it and play it. Since you are so good at beatboxing, can you please do it?❤❤🙏🙏
Well, the crutch is just that. A crutch. Like the yawning leading up to the "reveal". But where do you go with an act like that? The novelty will wear off faster than you can say "flute". (Let's just ignore how heavily skripted that scene was - somehow AGT is okay with making their audience look uncultured and only entertained by flashy show elements). Love the video!
Proof that Britain’s got talent is trash, TSV knew this long ago😂😂😂 Awesome video Jasmine :)

Yessss so nice to see twosetters
You should make a video of how to flutter tounge 😅
Normally, people don’t treat classical music with the respect it deserves. Especially for the younger generations, regular flutes are just boring
I played the flute when I was young. It's an acquired taste and a skill only appreciated by the special elite. Don't bring it down to the level of America's got talent. James Galway was probably the last person who could represent the skill to the public in a tasteful way. Jasmine could probably bring it out to the public without any gimmicks. The choice of song is important like Annie's song.
썸네일이 너무 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Well Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull is the GREATEST flute player EVER
Simon says, "Name a recorder player." I immediately think "Lucie Horsch". Simon is so ignorant.
Mainstream audiences love to be entertained
IN THE FIRST ONE IT CUT TO EVERYONE YAWNING ON THE ACTUAL FLUTE OMG WTF
@jasminechoi plz react on manuraj and divyansh's AGT performance
UHM WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT 4:59
Recorder gang 😢
It’s all about viewership and advertisements. Reality TV isn’t a good source for good music.
For me as a doubler on sax and flute. I find people in the audience to love it when i play the flute!
I just want to let you know how much I appreciate the graphic at 1:07 xD xD
I'm really trying to love tonic. But it just so buggy and almost unusable on android
Tailor swift sings wearing a minimum garment... But don't do it.😅
Why you not going about talant show
you should go to agt and shut the mouth to simon
Big crash with reality talent shows are less about the talent more about the show in the end only view count is important to television
American audiences on these talent shows are not the most sophisticated
4th to comment!hope you are well
The guy who took off his clothes and started dancing is just disgusting. If a dancer did that it's ok, that's not something strange. But if I'm going to a flute performance the last thing I want is for the flutist to take off his clothes and start dancing in my face.
"America" generally prefers circus acts over substance .. so sad ..
They're not musicians

Some are, some aren't
Wrong type of show for such a beautiful instrument and wrong audience from a cultured perspective very surprised and angry that this instrument was subjected to that the flutes respectful place is in the classical symphony orchestra plus it is played by artists as a solo instrument the budy that came on with the alto flute was miles flat and whar has striping of got to do with flute playing. People look down on the recorder but it lost its popularity in the 18th century when it was superseded by the transverse flute but certain historical groups have reintroduced it playing music from the reainssance / baroque eara wrong show that's an alien culture hope I never see that again.
The recurring advertisements for the app are getting annoying.

She’s a stakeholder with Ray Chen. It’s their product and it’s actually a good and original one, so I would rather have one organic add, on topic, in each video rather than an add for BetterHelp or some other rubbish.
