What is SEALCOATING and why should I do it?
1. Sealcoating protects and prolongs the life expectancy of asphalt pavement by filling surface damage and providing a protective layer to keep out damaging UV rays, vehicle fluids, and water.
2. The low cost of regular sealcoating can save you money in the long run. A properly maintained and sealed asphalt surface has an extended lifetime and reduces long-term repair costs.
3. With exposure to the elements, asphalt pavement over time becomes faded in appearance. A fresh sealcoat application enhances the appearance of asphalt, making it look and wear like new.
4. Sealcoating is typically done using one of two application methods: spray or squeegee/brush.
5. Sealcoating accelerates the melting process of snow and ice on pavement surfaces. This helps to protect against water penetration, rain, frost and snow damage.
6. To correctly complete the sealcoating process, the air and pavement temperature is recommended to be at least 55 degrees Fahrenheit for the duration of the application and for eight hours following the application.
7. Prior to pavement sealing, the asphalt surface should be cleared of all dirt and debris. In addition, minor repairs, like potholes and cracks, should be filled and vehicle fluids, like oil, should be properly removed.

Spot on mate and great job ... Really appreciative of the long vids - i'm guessing it probs takes hours to do but well worth it lol I particularly laughed at the 10 press ups you managed to throw in for a balanced work out ... Ever thought about adding a join button so a few of us can throw a little bit of financial appreciation your way for these?

Unless you live in a really poor and undeveloped country, it definitely exists! It may have a different name or use different products, but pavement sealing services exist everywhere. You may not know about it, because depending on the country, it isn't as requested as some other places. My country has tropical weather, so it's not as necessary as in a country where it is really hot in the summer or snows in the winter.

Slide a piece of 1/4 wall square tube down your handle for weight and pull it. That away you won't have to go over it so many times to get that extra product spread over.

I do my edges 1st with a small brush with bristles that are so flimsy you could shake them to fall over. That away it doesn't sling. And I don't have to jack around with a 4' brush for 6 hours cutting in the edges.
