Here's an interesting idea; rank the *manga* art styles of these respective series (where applicable, I don't think that Kirby show has one lol). Some shows get WORSE representation when animated *cough*BERSERK*cough*, so looking at the source material would be a fun thing to do. But if you do another anime only ranking, I'd like to see where Madoka Magica stands from an art perspective. Personal bias, but it's definitely S tier. SSS tier if I may be so bold.

I haven't seen Madoka Magica yet but I should definitely take a look! The reason I picked anime instead of manga is basically just so I could talk about the animation haha

As a fairly big anime fan myself, I feel as though your rankings were good, but man does it hurt to see Naruto low, I love it to death but I agree with the repeating flashbacks part. And I did not know slugs have four noses lmao 🤣

I know, it's such a good show and I didn't really notice the flashbacks on my first watch, but going back now it's a little painful 😂

@@sketchesbyaidan well its basically what u said, the production does water down some stuff from the source material. like the manga has near perfect pacing and flashbacks. though i would say that going art wise, naruto should atleast be a low A. The artstyle is decent and it does frequently pick up some quality. as for the frames thing, I would say that they were indeed quite good (apart from neck-suke) due to the fact that a single frame cant fully determine the quality of the shot

​@@sketchesbyaidanI swear Aidan, you HAVE to do Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (not the 2003 anime). It's freaking amazing and makes an expressionless suit of armor one of the cutest, most charming character designs, while having absolutely epic set pieces, and NGL, some actually nightmare inducing things (I mean, given the premise, that shouldn't be surprising). It's my favorite FOR A GOOD REASON

@@Nightfire613 I started reading the FMA manga but I haven't watched the anime yet... I really should, considering it's literally number 1 on My Anime List lmao

I definately have different taste lol, I think cuteness would be more of a barrier to my S tier than a requirement (though I agree on Horikoshi's art style being up there). If I were to pick my favorite art styles, Q Hayashida (of Dorohedoro fame) comes to mind, though that's more based off the manga than the anime. Chainsaw Man is also up there. And I'd bump Jojo's to S too. A couple other S's I'd want to mention are Kekkai Sensen and Violet Evergarden. Meanwhile, something about Demon Slayer doesn't do it for me. Part of it is I just don't think its a well written show, but even with what I can recognize as a phenomenal production, there's something about the look that just doesn't click with me. I'd probably put it in D.

You should definetly check out toilet-bound hanako kun! And absolutely read the manga too! The STT is gorgeus and the colours used are so interesting and bold but work so great together:) For games i would love to hear what you think on the art Style on Omori and the art style of papers please!

I dunno, the sometimes horrifically bad animation of Naruto is on an equal footing with Dragon Ball Z? Not so sure about that

Yeah but 90% of the time, Naruto's animation is pretty decent and those fight scenes are ELITE

Let's be fair here, dragon ball z although it had very good visuals most times, wasn't all that ambitious, lots of limited and very stale action due to its schedule as a weekly show. Naruto was more ambitious with its high priority moments than dbz was
