@christinet6336 I understand and agree with what you’re saying. I believe his perspective is that despite the atrocities committed against us, we endured and we are still here fighting the fight as compared to many groups who might have physically succumbed to the terror we faced. Despite this we’ve contributed a lot to humanity. Yes we could be doing better in the things you mentioned, we are still here despite the holocaust. That’s a lot to celebrate. Respect to you. “Each One Teach One”

Though i read the Dr. Small podcast I will not refer Eurpean culture in North America as ignorant or uncivilized!!! Subsahara Africa was not included in the evolution of European Culture in fact though there were transfers of knowledge ,this mostly from the cultures of North Africa which Europeans based their belief system from!!! The harsh climate of the northern climate required much more interdependence to work together resulting in civilization in time to insure their continued existance!!! There are still many many unanswered Questions in the evolution of Man of ancient history , All we have to work on is more of what is happening in more of recent History Even I in studying religion I have much to ponder the RISE and FALL of Various EMPIRES of YESTERDAYS!!!🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

Though I appreciate what the professor says, and believe it is coming from a place of love and respect, I disagree with him. We are not as resilient as we think, and it shows in our per capita health, education, employment, etc. outcomes. We are a very, and physically ill group of people that die faster and more preventable diseases than just about any other group in the United States. We’re always at the bottom of the ladder in every quality of life measure compared to everyone else with the exception of perhaps Native Americans. I appreciate the sentiment and thought, but I also think we need to get very real and understand that we are just humans, not super humans and we are suffering per capita at much greater lengths than any other group in the country.
