Those are great reminders, Adrienne. Hurt people hurt others and it’s a reflection on them and not on you. We’ve all been put in these situations and so glad it didn’t ruin your day. His actions were totally unjustified. The banana bread sounds awesome. Did you already post the recipe for us?

Your wonderful advice really resonated with me! I completely agree with looking at the “silver linings”, which is something I never did before. It also reminded me to always be kind and gracious in the face of adversity. 🙏🏽 I love what you said about “hurt people, hurt people” because it makes so much sense! I love your attitude and wish you many blessings! ♥️

Thanks Adrienne, I live in Pangyo and I have been in Korea for over 5 years. I also experience similar situations that sadly you had to endure while walking your dog. I feel I have to make myself small living here as to not aggravate anyone since when I get yelled at I find it quite triggering. After living throughout Asia for the past 18 years, I have never experienced this anywhere else. Keep strong :)

You didn't deserve that no matter his reasons ☹️ I hope that people will stop just being a stand by and start being a helper. You showed him and that should have ended it 🤷🏻‍♀️ I have over 10 years of customer service training and it is never ok for someone to take their anger out on you. No matter what kinda day they are having it is never ok and it is more than ok to defend yourself from that kinda behavior. I do agree that taking the high road is good however in situations like this it is very important to stand your ground and not just accept abuse of any kind from anybody. What if he decided to make it a physical attack against you? The fact that people just stood there watching could be very dangerous for you. I feel like safety first in any situation is very important, self defense is very important to know and protecting yourself and your peace is very important. Not everyone you meet is kind as you are or thinks like you do because they cannot understand a high level of thinking. That man no matter his issues is not free to just take it out on anybody. I don't know how I would have acted in that situation but I am glad that you just left him there and got home safely. I am glad you are able to just let it go and know that you are not at fault for his choices.

Sorry this happened to you and I hope you do not have to experience that ever again. You handled the situation very well, and you are right that when people hurt others is because they are hurt. Even though this does not justify them for doing harm is an important remainder to separate ourselves from their actions and opinions 🩷
