Thanks so much!
Beautiful and functional home office setup. Your emphasis on minimalism and coziness is evident in the design and decor of the space, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The use of natural materials and muted colors adds to the overall aesthetic of the room, and the attention to detail in the organization of your desk and shelves is impressive. Your explanations of the various components of your setup are clear and informative, making it easy for viewers to understand how to create a similar workspace. Overall, your video provides valuable insights for anyone looking to create a productive and stylish home office. Your passion for minimalism and coziness shines through in every aspect of the video, and I appreciate the effort you put into creating such an informative and visually stunning tour.

That is not a minimalist setup. In and around his desk he has over like 30-50 items. In fact, he has more visible items than I do in my entire kitchen, desk setup, and probably half my bedroom.
Omg what desk❤❤
Love it!
amazing setup, I really liked this keyboard
beautiful design; however, I must say I think we're too quick to apply the world "minimal" to everything. Having everything color-matched is not the equivalent of minimalism. There are quite a bit of extra items sitting around the office, especially the keyboards and things hanging on the wall. So while i will agree that this is an awesome setup, I don't think minimal is the word i'd use.

Interesting. You have made me consider the word "minimal" more deeply than I have previously. I initially thought of "minimal" as just meaning "very few things." And then I started to wonder if there was an objective number that if you are below that number, you are minimal, but if you go above that number, you are no longer minimal. And then I started wondering what that number would be? And then I watched the video. The desk, to me, as "very few things" on it. Seems minimal to me. The room only seems to have things that he uses. I liked his keyboard display. If I had a similar sized peg board for keyboards, I would have to choose which ones to display because they wouldn't all fit. But, more to the point, perhaps the number for "minimal" is variable depending on the person and what they want to accomplish? I do see the word "minimal" thrown around a lot. To be fair, I mostly do see it applied to desks that contain "very few things." Perhaps the word "intentional" should accompany "minimal" more as in this video?
Remarkable job pre/bro! I'm so proud to see a fellow creator from the 🇵🇭. I love the minimalism and functionality of your design. I also appreciate your choice of tech gear, especially the keychron mechanical keyboard. Keep it up Emmie!

The correlation between the use of sit stand desks & (slightly) better health outcomes is generally thought to be explained by selection bias; people who are more concerned about their health are more likely to use sit stand desks, and that cohort is on average healthier than people who aren't concerned about their health. It's fun to stand at a desk - you don't need to resort to twisting the outcomes of studies beyond recognition to make desks sound cool - the sit stand marketing sector has that covered.

Hey, I’m interested to know if you found the Skadis or the metal pegboard more useful, I’m trying to decide between the two options at the moment for a desk setup.
@ark.curate
Жыл бұрын
Great predicament. I like having a metal pegboard for devices I can latch/stick on it. However, I also appreciate the system of Skadis in terms of storage options and customization. So basically it will depend on your preferences at the end of the day on which one you’d wanna prioritize. 😄

Awesome video man! I just came back from the Philippines and have been considering moving there for at least 2 years to get a feel. Just out of curiosity, do you feel like a lot of your tech needs are fulfilled in the Philippines? Or do you feel limited? I live in Cali and just came back from Cebu. It’s been 3 years since I’ve been there and I’m kinda impressed with how far it’s gone in tech/internet! Currently researching more about Cebu! Thanks for the vid and keep up the good work!

Hey man! Hope you enjoyed your stay! I feel like because of the post-lockdown conditions, the accessibility to tech here easier. Very recently, Amazon started to offer a more efficient delivery service at least in Manila. So if ever you do need something which can only be found in the US, ordering is easier. Most other products are now accessible in a lot of malls and online stores, and more and more tech brands are opening their doors to the PH market. So yes, I am satisfied so far. 😄
That's beautiful and functional, gave me a lot of ideas on how to improve my workspace.

Hello. I have a similar setup and i was wondering how do you share the speaker for both desktop and mac mini?
@ark.curate
Жыл бұрын
I linked the speakers to the monitor so I could use them for the PC using the HDMI as sound output. And for the Mac Mini, I connected them to the Rode AI-1 interface through the back of the speakers. I then selected the RODE AI-1 as my sound output.
what is the name of the color you painted youre walls? thanks!
I have the same light bar you have. How did you mount your webcam to it? I have my Macbook Pro folded while connected to my monitor and I always have to take it out and open in when having to Zoom or teleconference. I want to get a webcam but I want it to share space on my monitor with my light bar so I'm looking at options.

It just sits on top of the light bar using the webcam’s clamp. It’s a little unstable, but it’s alright for me.

hi! how can you switch monitors from mac mini to custom build PC and vice versa?
@gregorymoore2877
6 ай бұрын
It's likely this display has multiple input sources. Connect two input sources to different computers and on the display, select the input source for the computer you want. His mouse is the MX Master S3 which can pair with up to 3 devices. The mouse then lets you select which computer to control. I didn't catch which keyboard he has, but there are keyboards that let you pair with up to 3 devices same as the mouse I described.
Hi! Great video! How do u switch between mac and windows-pc? I mean about peripheric.
@ark.curate
10 ай бұрын
Thanks! I just use the Bluetooth function of my peripherals since my keyboard and mouse can connect to up to 3 devices. For the monitor, I just switch the source channels.
What do you think of the ErgoHome standing desk? Is is stable enough?

Great and beautiful video my guy! But I will say, you don’t have to mention being an architect in every sentence haha. I recently came across an article about choosing the best display for a Mac based on screen resolution. The conclusion of the article is that macOS gets the best results using a 1440p or 5k display at 27" or 32" screen size or 4k at 24" screen size. (Funny that most 4k displays marketed as "best for Mac" are 27" or 32.") So, I was just wondering if you run at native resolution and if so are the system UI elements too big or too small? Or, do you have it set to scale the display, do you notice any hit on performance?
@ark.curate
6 ай бұрын
Great question. The short answer to that is no. It does not really affect performance. I find that the UI elements are scaled well automatically. Although depending on your vision and preference, you can always adjust.

Not important at all but you used the expression "finally jumped the gun" when describing why you bought the desk but what you meant to say was "I finally pulled the trigger". "Jump the gun" means to do something prematurely. Love the setup!
