Put in the 29T pinion with the stock motor, stiffen the rear suspension and run it on 4s….also, switch out the wing for the one that’s in the box.

I have driven mine today at a big parking lot and it is fast! Do not know how fast because I do not have a GPS installed and frankly, I do not have to know. It is a fun car to race on a big parking lot or do speed runs with it, but yeah, I am more of a basher and racetracker than speedrunning on the open road. I see you guys are doing speed runs on a busy road. I would never dare to.😁

On 2s stock 20t pinion 38mph. 2s with 26t pinion I got it up to 50.8mph. 3s 26t pinion I got it up to 68mph.

I would keep it stock They are fun drift and street bashing cars.

Put the optional low drag wing and 26t pinion on and you should be able to do 70 on a good 3s battery

I’m even more impressed the driveline held up, good way to get into some speed runs for not huge bucks. $450 vs $1000ish for a limitless.

Arrma does note that the diffs are rated for 4S (the same diffs they used in the short-lived 4S models), but they bulk of the driveline is still plastic, so I would expect that after continued running driveshafts and stuff would have to be replaced. We only did a few passes on 4S.

I also have one coming Amazon 295 going to have to come see you guys to get some tires and batteries

Look at the huge KV differences between the 2 motors. That motor would require completely different gearing

The problem was finding a motor in a similar KV range that are rated for 4S. The 2850KV option was the closest we could come. We expected it to be slower on similar gearing, but that we'd have room to throw a bigger pinion on - unfortunately we didn't have a bigger pinion with that shaft size. That's why we ended up throwing the stock motor back in haha.

Its a excellent vehicle for the price

Hi I'm new to the rc hobby just 2 months in I have the arrma kraton 8s and the talion 6s exb I got 74mph in the talion with the stock electronics I wanna go faster really didn't wanna take the 2050kv out I was told to go with castel esc or could I just put a spool gear in really don't wanna cause the car to go into thermal any suggestions

Im able to hit 100mph with stock electronics in my 6s Typhon. I used a 42t spool and a 29t pinion. I wouldn’t bash with that gearing, but you can make a few passes without hitting thermal limits.

Ok thanks would I be able to do normal driving with that gearing and what tires do u suggest I use would the stock belted guitars be ok

@@younghandsome225 strictly doing speed runs on smooth surfaces with that gearing. I also use the stock center diff 50t and 22t pinion for a solid 80mph bashing set up. As far as tires go if you want to go faster than a foam (recommend banana skin tires) or belted hoons street tire.

Ok thanks the typhon is must be a little lighter then the talion I got 74mph with the included 23t pinion would a 46t 0r 44t spool or even a center diff gear help get me to 80 with everything else stock

@@younghandsome225 Typhon is a bit lighter. I’m not sure what tooth the center diff is on the Talion, but go down a couple teeth with a spool or you can put silicon earplugs inside the center diff to kind of lock it.

How did the stock motor hold up, after mashing it on 4s?

It held up, but we only used it for filming this video, so it’s hard to say how long it would hold up to regular 4S use.

It cannot! Neither the stock motor or ESC can handle 4S.

Put the high speed wing on. The stock one has too much downforce and slows the car down.

Will it run on 2S?

Definitely. You’ll lose some speed, but it’ll certainly run on 2S.

Bro, why would you even waste your time trying a 2850kv on 4s with the stock spur and expect it go the same or faster than the stock 3990kv on 3s ..do the math

Spektrum makes a 4000kv motor wihich pushed my car to 92mph

i would simply replace ESC with spektrums 4s ESC + add the 26t pinion. Everything else keep stock, including the motor. thank me later.

That motor could handle 4s no problem, i just replaced my stock esc and put in a new 120amp and my shit does 70+

@@dr_racing7998 yes, i took the stock esc and replaced it with a spectrum 120amp and have had no problems, have about 2-3 full packs runs

Switch over to the Dboot hoons. Silver compound. Much nicer drive .
