I had the Diode Dynamics SL1 H11 in my 2018 Chevy Cruze. They were a huge upgrade. One fan went bad and became extremely loud. DD replaced the pair and I noticed they were considerably quieter. DD redesigned the bulb assembly after I purchased mine originally after their product launch. Great customer service.

I have these in my 2013 Accord EXL v6 sedan. Plug and play, excellent customer service, and they're a quality product. Are they the brightest? No. But they're much brighter than stock, easier to install, and don't offend oncoming traffic. Highly recommend 👍

I've had this same LED in my Kia Telluride, it slightly flickers so I had to install some extra wiring to resist those flickers, and now it works fine.

Thanks for the review. I am trying to sacrifice spending 2 arms and legs to do a Retrofit halogen to projector headlight switch on my 2014 Nissan Altima. I may try these before I decide to upgrade. Tired of trying out light bulbs.

They're the best on the market by far overall. Excellent heat dissipation, great beam spread, long life span and since it's rated at 1630 lm it utilizes it effective. Mine is the older version without the adjustable collar but 2.5 years and still shining.

@@han615 I have the 2stroke and they're awesome too but overall the SL1 will be the better one. 2stroke is rated at 2440lm and 1.9A draw with a 24V input power that is priced at $120 whereas the SL1 is rated at 1630lm and 1.58A draw with a 20.3V input power that is priced at $150. The SL1 has the edge with the best heat dissipation on the market without a doubt. The lumen figures might lean towards the 2stroke but the SL1 has less draw amp, less power input & less lumens yet efficient thus better cooling and longer life span. And the LED chips are high quality plus excellent customer service.

I just did diode dynamics xp80 rear blinkers, the xpr reverse lights, and their switchbacks. Your resistor kit is amazing! Would you say the diode dynamics sl1s are still a good choice vs. stock?

In a different car I installed the SL1’s with the fan pointing up rather pointing down as you installed it. The chips still fire left and right. Does it matter that the fan is facing up vs down? My car has dust caps to protect against water and dirt.

I'm not sure it fully matters, but I do believe Diode Dynamics usually installs them downwards. Maybe they can chime in though on your comment to give some insight. They are super helpful when you have questions, you could also try to shoot them an email or something.

All LED are like this. They appear to be bright and proven to be brighter compared to stock using a lux meter but it lacks intensity and focus. However, quality HID kit will be perform better in lumen, lux, distance and focus.
