Thanks for the great vids! I always watch your pulls before I buy anything to rip. I've got to say that these are probably one of my least favorite Topps finest backgrounds. I still dig the 93 and 94 finest!

2019 I got a box of Finest and got two Rowdy Tellez autos. This year I pulled redemptions for an Orange Wander auto and the Mystery Auto and I am just sitting waiting on both of them. I have gotten both junk and quality out of it, though before Wander my best card was an orange Dustin May auto.

I did really well in the few group breaks of finest I've been in, but then after the fact, the cards kinda took a nose dive. In 2020, I got the Brewers for around $10 shipped in a 4 box break and got an orange auto /25 of Trent Grisham. Card did sell for over a hundred at one point. And in 2021, I got the Angels in a half case break for $40 shipped (got lucky on that one, usually they were selling for at least $60, sometimes around $100) and I got a couple Trouts, insert, base and refractor. And I got 2 base Jo Adell, a refractor, rookie variation and a Black/Gold SSP. All told, the cards I got were probably worth $150+, but since then, Adell has had a rough start so his card values tanked.

As an angels fan, I’m really disappointed in how the angels are using Adell. Has potential but they don’t give him the playing time. I hope they trade him for some pitching if they don’t plan on utilizing him.

When I was a teenager in the 90s finest was awesome. They just don't make em like that anymore. Those 90s inserts can't be beat.

All inserts in the 90s were better, more detail and unique ideas. Even the 90s finest base cards were superior with all the detailed etching, not this flat chrome look we have now.

I doubt the cost per card for Topps is even $0.20 a card. You would think they could put quality player autos in every single box. It's actually sad what this hobby has become.

@@MrK623 I'm not arguing your estimate. But, as much as this company is mass producing these cards? I wouldn't be surprised if it costs them less than $0.05 a card. At this point, they are making so much money, and they really don't seem to care about the consumer. They will when the hobby takes a turn though. Also, with Topps losing the license agreement, I suspect they are just pumping everything they can think of at this point to make as much as possible.

@@MrK623 good question. Well, they do produce them in sheets. I'm sure they go for the cheapest for their paper stock. I would love to see Topps stop putting autographs of players that they know are worthless. I mean, they know who is the hot ones, and they really should be putting the consumers money's worth in these boxes. I think it is insane to buy a box of cards for $300, and get only $50 ROI. The odds are worse than playing the lottery to win your money back. I do think Topps is realizing it's day of reckoning is coming. They have flooded this market like they did in the 80's and 90's. It's really sad.

I don't feel like this is aimed at kids, especially at that price point, but I feel like kids think this looks a lot cooler than adults do. People need to stop buying products like this. The only thing Topps cards about is profit so if something isn't selling they'll ditch it. I'd like to see them cut a few products...

Eh, this stuff is no bueno, I bought a box, pulled a JRod Refractor and quit there. The QC is just as bad on this stuff or worse than chrome update. It is a product that needs to be discontinued and just stick with the Finest Flashbacks.

I like Topps sapphire and Ben Baller better.
