You multiply 3 times 4, you'll get 12 but since the value of our 3 is negative, we get the answer -12

Same po sila ng variables, halimbawa po dyan sa 1st sample ang like term dyan is yong -5x and 4x kasi pareho sila ng variable which is x.

no, adding exponents can only be used if you're multiplying the terms =8x

The only way you'd turn x into a square is if you multiply it with itself, you can't make a square out of addition,

Negative × negative=positive Sa multiplication po pag parehas ang sign the answer is always positive.if the sign is different the answer is always negative:negative×positive=negative Hope this helps.

I sont understand, but why is 5x + 3x is equals to 8x? Is it because they are both positive thats why it can be combined, while the -5x + 4x cannot be combined because of the negative?

-5x+4x can be combine because they are LIKE TERMS. pero different signs (-), (+) kaya subtracted. -5 + 4 = (-1), dahil may variable x, and a variable always a value of 1, it is inappropriate to write 1x..dun sa 5x + 3x, LIKE TERMS din Sila pero same sign, both (+), that is why the result is 8x..review mo Yung rules in adding, subtracting, multiplying And dividing integers so you won't be confuse..😊😊😊

and also if you are adding negative plus positive, you will substract it, but the term that has larger number will be the sign of the given answer which -5+4x= -x

Hello, try kopo i-explain. Basically, ipapag-add nyo po yung -5x + 4x. Input nyo lang sya sa calcu nyo and you will immediately get "-1" as your answer. Keep in mind po na "x" is equivalent to "1". Yun po yung dahilan kung bakit naging -x sya.
