    So product breadth is the variety of product lines that a company has, while product depth is the different types of products in the same product line. Help !

    ØProduct mix consists of all the product lines and items that a particular seller offers for sale. ØProduct mix width is the number of different product lines the company carries. e.g.; Wal-Mart. ØProduct line length is the total number of items the company carries within its product lines. ØProduct line depth is the number of versions offered of each product in the line.

    And of course there are the very successful companies that ignore depth and breadth. Despite their not-so-secret secret menu, In-N-Out sells a couple of burgers, fries and milkshakes. That's it! No hot dogs. No chicken. No salads. No breakfast. Nope. Half a billion bucks a year.
