So true. He performed The Light rock version with BGYO and he was able to dance and sing with the youngsters, even doing the iconic jumps that require a lot of energy/stamina. Mr Pure Energy indeed!

Im not a religious person. But Gary V and this song got me a bit teary-eyed when I watched it during Covid. It’s a song for those who need help and feel as no help is coming.

Gary V is truly a gift. He is one of those rare artists who sings each and every song with heart. I’ve been blessed to watch him live at a few of his concerts and man, he gets me each and every time. From ballads to upbeat songs, he makes you feel the music. I truly believe he was born for the stage and to bring joy to others through music. With all his talent and success through the years, he still seems so sincere and humble when he performs and interacts with his fans. I've only ever seen him sing live twice in my life and both times were definitely unforgettable. You simply MUST see him perform at least once in your life! :)

As someone mentioned already, this is his original song from the mid-80s when he became a born-again Christian and this particular performance was released during the pandemic when everyone was in lockdown. I could see how drawn in you both were during this reaction. Gary V is another one of those singers who has that gift of being the song itself when he performs. It also helps that he also wrote this song because, as he said in another podcast, when you write your own song and record it (versus interpreting a song written by someone else), that in itself is your signature/autograph regardless if that sone becomes a commercial hit or not. Spoken like a true artist indeed! You were right in saying that Gary is (has been) doing well in his career. He is a veteran in the OPM industry with a career that spans 40 years now. I'll send links in the request form for some of his concerts from the 90s that can be found in YT so you can also appreciate his performance style. He also appeared in the podcast of the Herrera's as a guest. When your podcast is open to have guests on board, please keep him in mind. He has performed here in the US and all over the world, mostly to Filipino crowds. He did guest and perform a number of times for the 700 Club and other Christian based groups here in the US as well. There was a time back in the late 80s to mid-90s when he worked with a Christian music producer for a potential career here in the US but we didn't know what happened behind the scenes back then. But even though that didn't pan out, his career in the Philippines continued to soar and he is now one of the legitimate icons in OPM. Hope to see more of him in your reaction videos. In his many years in the industry, he has remained humble, God-loving and God-fearing despite the fame he has achieved through the years. He has remained an artist at ABS-CBN despite the network's franchise fallout...you can see him regularly on its Sunday's noontime variety show ASAP Natin 'To with Regine V. Alcasid, Ogie Alcasid, Martin Nievera and usually with some of the Philippines' best singers like KZ Tandingan, Morissette Amon, Elha Nimfa, Gigi de Lana, etc... If you come to the Philippines again, try watching him perform in person and do an interview. It would be fun to see you with him!

This is one of my favorite christian songs. I may not be that religious, but since i grew up going to catholic/christian private schools since nursery to college, it's normal for me to sing these kings of songs. But there r very heartfelt & catchy christian songs, and this one by Gary V is top notch. And this would always make me teary eyed & reflect on things i've done recently and things i needed to do today, tomorrow. Like i am reminded to be grateful. Ahh.. He already did 2 heart surgeries. When he was lying on the bed for his 2nd operation, he said "Lord, I am here again." He heard a voice responded to him saying "Yes, and I am here again." just goosebumps. I watched it from his interview.

All these singers Lea, Mori, Katrina Velarde, Gigi de Lana, and many more were doing home recordings and uploading them live.
