The AKG Ara two-pattern USB microphone lets podcasters, bloggers, gamers and musicians capture pro-quality, high-resolution sound right from their desktops. Whether you’re streaming or recording, capture audio at 24-bit, 96kHz resolution for crystal-clear speech clarity and stunning vocal and instrument tracks. Ara’s dual pickup patterns let you focus on a single voice or instrument or everyone in the room: Choose the directional Front (cardioid) pattern to focus on sound directly in front of the mic while rejecting sound from other sides; use the Front + Back (omni) pattern to pick up sounds all around the mic, such as multiple speakers or a group of performers. Use Ara on a desktop, boom, stand or even on the go, with an optional adapter and your mobile device. It’s plug-and-play simple, thanks to USB connectivity and class-compliant drivers.

Jack’s easily the best guest you guys have had on here, and I don’t say that lightly. Dude is super articulate and can carry his weight in the convo, high verbal intelligence.

Yep
The man is a genius and refreshingly humble. I met him once at a Bleachers’ show in Indy and he was exactly as he appears on this show. Such a cool and massively talented human.

thanks, jack antonoff is one of my greatest idols
The battle of evermore was the song where a female vocalist blew my mind (and it still does to this day). Hearing Jack recount his own story brought back great memories of 10 year old me hearing that track for the first time. Thank you for articulating it that way.
BLESSS YALL
Great interview. Jack is an amazing producer. And Dave’s closing word was the best thing I heard today. Thanks for that, Dave.
We need this on the podcast app!

Love this episode, thanks guys!
I’ve really enjoyed getting to know Jack through your show.
Great episode. Thanks Jack, Jerb and Dave!
First time seeing this channel! Love it! Hi Jack hope your time is going well!
MusicCares helped me during the pandemic.
I've been writing songs for about 10 years now self producing ...just doing it all by myself ...everyyyything... It would be awesome to get in the studio with jack someday .. even just to talk about music 🎵💔🐻🎶
🔥
I love starting a song with arpeggiated chords. I usually fall into a story accidentally - I liked that jack said it was like a bed for the song. that's exactly what it feels like. I get so lost when I open up a session.. I never know where to start, drums are hell. I use an arpeggiator as my metronome 90% of the time.. lol is that cheating
Great to hear Jack give a shout out to Kate Bush!
Classic! And I just saw The Bleachers perform 'Chinatown' on SNL ....which influenced me in a way because I began to write a song about VERY similar subject matter TWO months prior to witnessing The Bleachers SNL episode. I was like OMG Jack beat me to it. But f**** that I'm going to finish my song and Jacks gonna hear about! :-)

There is an AVID black spring plugin. Maybe Herb can follow up with the plugins they were talking about!? Alway appreciated Pensado's place!

Wow... out of touch with the people much? Most of the people attending the Grammys are truly trying to do the right thing? They’re trying to do what will propel their career most, and that carries with it a “correct” opinion.

This dude is easily one of the worst producers in the bracket at the moment, I mean he is quite seriously responsible for the death of so many promising artists. I expect the next cultural object to be a counter culture to this dudes sheer lack of tonal appreciation and sensitivity to present trends.

Hi!!! I respect your opinion but I totally desagree. Jack produce a couple of songs in 1989 by Taylor Swift, which it’s the most awarded pop album of all time. He also produce Melodrama by Lorde, Folklore, Evermore, reputation, Norman F Rockwell by Lana del Rey And also his band Bleachers it’s amazing. He really makes beautiful beautiful tracks, i hope you can give him a chance
@wesleyleigh4063

@@cecygarcia6479 literally you're proving my point. a fucking ham sandwich couldve produced for Lorde and done a better job. tell me you actually listen to that album, go on. Also taylor swift? I mean sure, a pop artist - i'll hand him that. but NFR and clairos latest album are both their worst releases, no surprise he was responsible for the sappy, mostly Gmajor/Aminor/G# major uneventful production. We are to blame though, pumping his stonks because he looks cool

why are you still pushing this narrative when Lorde literally spoke out and said that it's insulting to insinuate that a man is responsible for her sound? she said that it was the record SHE wanted to make.

@@countingcrows123 can you share a source? i don't see many people blaming him for her failures. i saw her perform live straight after Melodrama released, even though it was an acclaimed record, she was fucking crying on stage when noone cared about the songs. having him as a producer is like having an 80 year old autistic man tell you what sounds good/bad about every moment of your most important works of your life.

This is one of the most selfish things I've read. Are you not concerned with the waiter or waitress caring about their own health and well being? Crazy that you're so concerned with the actions of others who are looking out for their own safety.
