A lot of people don’t know that Matt was a graduate of The Berkeley School of Music. One of the most prestigious schools in the nation. He has a gospel group who are working on an album right now. This is without a doubt a masterpiece.

Its almost like they decided to record O Holy Night again so that they could release the secret weapon which is Matt!! The passion and faith in his singing, in my eyes, is genius! ❤

They actually decide as a band who is best for the parts!!! No ego involved!!! Masterful!

It leaves me emotional every time I hear and Matt took us to church with his Matt Attack as Scott beautifully covered the bass part while Matt sang. Kirsty took us to the highest peak and Scott with his gritty beautiful baritone, Kevin’s beatboxing and always loving Mitch. It just wrenches the emotions out of us. This entire album is up for a Grammy and they so deserve it!!!!!!

This song is indeed the best version I have ever heard. I believe the new album this is from is their Greatest Hits 2023. The album up for the Grammy is last year’s Holidays Around the World. The process is a little behind when albums or songs are released to when nominated/ Grammy ceremonies. Ps. I hope next time this album is nominated. With this and Please Sant Please and Kiss From A Rose they totally deserve it

Every time I watch this I find myself holding my breath during Kirstie’s long note at the end, I don’t know why. It’s such an epic rendition of this song. Absolutely stunning!

They all decide together, with Ben Bram ( their producer/arranger whom they call the 6th member of PTX), whose voice will best suit the song at each point. Kirstie & Scott are the belters, although Matt is growing in his abilities, whereas Mitch has the crystal clear voice with perfect enunciation. The overriding factor is what will suit the song best. They are each other’s greatest cheerleaders which explains their longevity & friendship! Great reaction. This has given all of us the feels, so join the club!

I get goosebumps every time I listen to it. Amazing that after so many years together, they continue to improve. I love hearing Matt's voice, and I know Matt and Kevin in particular really put their hearts into this music, as they are devout Christians. You feel it.

My all time favorite Christmas song!! They did it such justice. Like it much better than their first rendition. It just shows how much they have grown as artists. They are my favorite band. If you appreciate this song and /or gospel music Id recommend checking out David Phelps version in Birmingham Alabama. He is one of the best tenors on the planet. I have two favorite singers in the entire world. David Phelps and Mitchell Grassi. The gospel homecoming features a stunning piano performance as well by the late Anthony Burger. You really cannot compare the two performances due to the fact PTX is thier own orchestra and choir, but something about David Phelps rendition will shake your soul. It has brought several reactors to tears, and left them speechless and breathless. Literally. You may not want to react to it as Gospel isn't for everyone, but definitely listen to it.

the video "The Making of Evergreen" gives some insight into the question you asked about who? ....... it also hinted that there is a "check your ego at the door" unspoken policy ...... and even more ...... they appear to like each other!

Beautiful! It’s hard to believe how they evolve with every song. This is Grammy worthy in my opinion. Love it.

I have been listening to and watched them since the beginning on the sing off and this is the BEST I have ever heard from them or from anybody in an arrangement of a song. Matt, Matt, Matt….I have been waiting for him to take off and he just did and it was gorgeous. All of them, stunning. So much going on, not only from the main person singing but the complex music in the background. And Kevin bringing in that beat off and on. So so so so great! They have pushed to a new and higher level IMO and I think one reason is Matt and the other is this arrangement. T ✌🏻

Idk why, but there is something I really love about Scott doing the bass.

Scott for some reason reminds me a lot of prince in this song. If you go back and listen to the song Let's Go by Prince Scott has that same grit and sound that Prince had in that song and it's so amazing it's something new I've learned about Scott's voice

Heard it a thousand times already, and it still gives me goosebumps!! This was already my favorite Christmas song of all time, but PTX elevated it and this right here is one of my favorite performances of all time of anyone at anytime. What's above a masterpiece? That's what this is in my mind.

I do agree there was a masterpiece, but also that you paused it at the worst moment lol. Right before Kirsty was about to belt it out. It helps to go back about 5 seconds after you pause it. Just so you can get back into it in case you paused right before a big moment.
