Aside from Devin Townsend and Tarja, there are almost no artists in the metal community named after the front person. It's like a cardinal sin to have any member of a metal band be "more important" than the others.

Reggae with a touch of blues. Great reaction! The band is absolutely amazing and never disappoints. A good video with Reggae would be Judgement and Punishment (One Take or Live in Melbourne). Tatiana loves Reggae and bugs the band to put more into their music. Wicked talented all of them and Eugene is one of my all time favorite bassists. The way he arranges his music and fills the song so you don't even miss the second guitar speaks to his abilities. Keep it up! Cheers!

These guys are the first band I've listened to regularly in 20 years that don't include a keyboard as a core part of their sound. And I don't miss it at all. I feel like they create more enjoyable complexity with just their three instruments than most bands achieve with a keyboard in the mix. And as I embraced their music, I realized that I really appreciate that. With computers and AI invading more and more of our lives, I love how human their music is. Incidentally, Vlad was classically trained as a pianist, and I think he did a more electronic remix of their song Perennial for the album Macro, the last song lainnereP (aka Perennial backwards). They also do include some effects from time to time, usually to create atmosphere leading into songs. They were always talented and dedicated, because Ukraine is a hard place to make it as a musician, so only those who wouldn't or couldn't do anything else with their lives stuck with it. None of the founders are still members of Jinjer. Then in 2014 when war broke out in eastern Ukraine and would have stopped them from touring, they left their homes, families, and friends behind to continue their careers. After that all they really had was the band and each other and performing on any stage that would let them, singing for their suffer. With their bridges burned they had to move forward, and I suspect that they felt they had to succeed to justify their sacrifices. One of their songs is called "I want it, I'll get it" which is their only song in all Russian and also the only one in all growls, and I feel like it was a message to their fans back home why they were leaving. Another older song about the situation is When Two Empires Collide. More popular are two songs off macro about aspects of the situation in Ukraine. Retrospection is a tribute to their parents who are still on the other side of the battle lines, though now that there is a ceasefire they can visit occasionally - the video expands it to the found family of their band and crew, including their sound guy Sasha who they consider an equal member of the band since his work is vital to their success as they constantly tour, and the extended family of their fans. Home Back is about their hometown getting caught up in the war, though Tatiana says at least "it isn't being bombed anymore."

Nice reaction Glasses Kingdom. Just a little FYI for you. The band is named Jinjer, the band members names are, Tatiana (vocals), Eugene (bass), Roman (guitar), and Vlad (drums). They are from Eastern Ukraine (except Vlad, he's from Western Ukraine) as you already know. Jinjer used to be a 5 piece band, but are now a 4 piece band, and have been since 2015/2016. If you continue with your Jinjer journey, you won't be disappointed, each song is unique and different, some songs are really heavy, others are not, but all of them are fantastic. Peace and as always, stay Metal 😊🤘🤘🤘🤘🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶 Oh and there isn't a keyboardist LOL 😄😄😄

I would add, this song started out being played by all 5, but they re-composed it to work with just Roman on guitar and Eugene filling in with the range of his 5-string bass. Also the ending was originally jazzy instead of reggae. In general they take the extra sound the rhythm guitarist would contribute and split it up between Roman working harder, Eugene's 5-string and tapping, and Vlad especially filling in with ghost notes.

A little correction, if you allow me, as it's getting like a misconception among the non-slavic Jinjer fans - Vlad is originally from Zaporizhzhia (Запорі́жжя - UA or Запоро́жье - RU), located in south-eastern part of Ukraine and he moved to Kyiv during his studies. His native town is roughly 175 miles driving far from Horlivka (Gorlovka) where founding members of Jinjer lived before they had moved to Lviv in 2014. Another thing worth mentioning is that Eugene is from Makiivka which is very close to Horlivka. Now Jinjer is 50% Horlivka and 25% Makiivka - Zaporizhzhia born members.

Who is gonna be the one to react to Sershen and Zaritskaya's intensified metalized cover of "Stayin" Alive" The production on this track, along with the guitar, bass, and drums are stellar. The female lead singer is burnin' hot, oh and she can sing, too. Check in and check it out. kzread.info/dash/bejne/lKp30o-zqNGpo5c.html By the way, Sershen and Zaritskaya is also an Ukranian band.

Funny you keep mentioning a keyboard player... The drummer (Vlad) his first instrument is piano... I would imagine that with that understanding of music, he has a firm grip of complexity between the two percussive instruments... Hence the fluid movement between time signatures, maybe you hear a "keyboard" because the musicians are to place freely move their thought... Practice, practice, practice, practice your rudiments so that when you PLAY you PLAY FREELY... 🤔

@@GlassesKingdom You’re absolutely right. It only has to do with one’s competence & basic foundational understanding of music & the industry in general. And the fact that you can’t simply admit your mistake & move on, only lends more credence to the original criticism. You’re gonna have a rough time doing this if you’re unable to harness criticism constructively sir. Don’t get defensive & butt-hurt. Just take the hit, and stay humble. We all make mistakes. But you chose to be in the game where the mistakes will be called out more than the praise of the good. But you are gonna struggle if you don’t learn humility. But I wish you the best of luck sir.
