The initial season of U.N.C.L.E. under the supervision of Felton and Rolfe was far superior to the subsequent seasons, which became more of a parody and had non sensical scripts and dialogue. Vaughn and McCallum were at their best when playing it straight, as in the pilot episode with Fritz Weaver and the episode with Robert Culp.
