Processing Declassified Spy Satellite Imagery! (A Colored KH-9 Image From 1979)

We hang out and process an infrared color KH-9 spy satellite image of San Jose from 1979 into near true color before georeferencing it. We also play around with 3D imagery and coincidentally watch a spy satellite be launched in real time!

    Do you georeference it into a global Mercator projection regardless of it's original projection? I would think if you knew what it's original projection were, you wouldn't need nearly as many reference points. Applogies if you explained it in the video, I skimmed through it, but doesn't have the time to watch the whole thing now. Cool project!
