    good grief 0_0 i am sewing things as a hobby and watching this, i couldn't even close my mouth in awe 0_0 the precision and quality inspite of that speed are INSANE!! i was wondering if this was their original standard speed to work or if they wether slowed down for better visibility in the video or perhaps, in contrary, if they tried to be extra fast in the video as of being pretentious? good grief, i am amazed.

    Wow, I'm blown away by how the factory is huge, spacious, and high tech. But each uniform costs about 40k yen. It's a lot of work, but I guess that's the price of a quality product not made in China or a developing country.

  • @Lil_Poohfluffybum

    @Lil_Poohfluffybum

    40k Yen equals what in terms of exchange? Well conversion says Canadian, 😊 $370. Plus taxes at 12% seems quite good for the entire uniform for a years use. Give it take price.

  • @SpartanFarron

    @SpartanFarron

    5 ай бұрын

    @@Lil_Poohfluffybum I don't think the conversion should be factored in. It's a Japanese product that will mostly be used by Japanese students. 40K is roughly $400 in local terms and 10% sales tax. You can buy a lot of clothes for that same amount of money. Even a decent adult suit costs less. Almost any clothing can be used for many years if you buy the right material and take care of it.

    Very impressive work, kudos to every single worker involved in the process and whoever invented and put all the machinery together! Got a question for whoever is in the know: at 3:29 (embroidering) the fabric is not secured at all at the borders. Isn't this a concern for the embroidery jamming the fabric in the uneven manner? Especially at the borders close to the embroidered part, is the fabric secured enough anywhere else not to slide towards the heavier side?

    Japan's use of school uniforms can be traced back to the Meiji period (1868-1912), when the government sought to modernize and westernize the country. The sailor suit-style uniform was introduced in the 1920s to promote gender equality, as boys and girls wore similar clothing. However, it was not until the 1950s that the sailor uniform became widespread. During the American occupation of Japan following World War II, the United States government encouraged the use of Western-style uniforms in schools to promote democracy and individualism. This led to the widespread adoption of sailor uniforms for girls, based on the regimentals worn by naval officers in Western countries.
