I have a problem with my Proboat Veles 29.Ive bought it a used, it was a very good deal, the hull seems to be brand new. But the flex shaft has a little bit of play at the strut end and when i give a little bit of trothle in the air it is kinda loud and vibrates to haviely in my opinion. How big is your play at the strut? How loud is it when you press the trothle in the air? Kind regards Leo

We also have a stock veles we did add a 2nd water pick up tube..one for the motor and one for the speed controller..we also changed the out tube out let's...as for the motor we drilled out the water inlet and out put..and the same with the speed controller..we went one size down on the prop the big thing yes is in the weight in this boat..liter is better yes... however...it's center of gravity is to high..with motor and the 2 battery packs...so..we took out the battery trays.. replaced them..get your pack down to the floor of the boat.. important..you do that and correct the roll it has turning the boat..on and on..bigger battery just make it run hot...not good..we use 2 5200mAh..75C..11.1v..water condition also effects these boats..they like it smooth water..for your faster times...ex..

I've just found this on a search, I'm trying to decide between a Traxxas M41 or a Veles. I used to race FSRV nitro about 15 years ago but I don't have much experience with cats. The Veles seems to be more of a thoroughbred, which I like. Have they improved the hull quality over the past few years? I would appreciate any thoughts you might have, or anyone else on here. Thanks.

But the flex shaft has a little bit of play at the strut end and when i give a little bit of trothle in the air it is kinda loud and vibrates to haviely in my opinion. Could you make a short video where you show the normal play of your flex shaft at the strut and the noise your boat makes when you give a little bit of throttle in the air? Kind regards Leo

@@jameslyons1978 Hi from UK! this is my 3rd really decent rc boat. I've heard about issues with flex shafts snapping! Can you recommend me the better flex shaft, and water pick up ? Thanks and sorry for being a pain! I've noticed my boat out the box sponson's sit pretty much flat. Only extremely slight rocking on the left sponson when sitting flat on a table. It's not as bad as other KZreadrs I've seen but I'm guessing the prop shaft raised a little will also help.

As a owner of the Veles29 by proboat, as well as a few other boats, it has been by believe that this boat is designed for straight forward motion only, or just going in a straight line on 6s, other then that, 4s will likely let you make a turn without flipping this boat over.

My Veles 29 that I just acquired will not sit flat toward the rear without the stuffing tube hitting. The stuffing tube is below the plane of the boat, or the bottom. Also it seems to me it is too long not allowing me to adjust it straight without positive angle. Not sure if this is something they adapted on this unit in newer models, I don't know I'm kind of a rookie at this.

@@jameslyons1978 thanks for the tip let the brass tube get hot under the hair drier and it was easy peezee got it about perfect it's got just an ever slight downward angle while being flat and set it about an 1/8th of an inch above the sponson's just like you said it runs flat and true even on super choppy water it just skips like a stone but extremely flat. the only thing that chaps my a$$ is how come they don't set it right from the factory... that's kinda messed up you gotta do all that work before it is right to run safely... i am now deciding on which v hull I wanna get either the hydropro inception or the proboat sonicwake 36in the proboat has the ability to flip it's self over but has all the other proboat issues like cooling issues and prop shaft issues so will need work regardless but the hydropro inception has that big motor already in it and doesn't need anything right away as it has 2 props one for 6s and 1 for 4s and with a 5mm flex shaft easy to upgrade to a 4082 leopard motor all I would need is a tuned abc prop... like 58mm or a 60mm... and done for the most part so both have their pluses and minuses...
