Yeah man, I subbed to your channel from the original 1000000 card buy video! I've watched some vids here or there, but probably would have been more plugged in if you posted more 'update vids' on the collection. I think there's a lot of people who watch your vids that kind of identity with you, and that buy was so cool! Your normal card show stuff is fine, but we've seen it a million times on other channels, but your collection buy is unique! There's still time to lean into it, but either way, good luck!!!

If you do it again, you could take some boxes back from your friend's house to work at your apartment. Thus would save you gas and time, as well as prevent you from getting overwhelmed by the mountain of boxes. Great video. Thanks for sharing the experience.

Very cool stuff. I just bought a collection of 60K cards pretty recently, and even that amount is proving to be enough that I don't know if I necessarily want to ever do it again. 1 million, I can't even fathom. P.S. fav team = Blazers, but I'm saying the Bucks are this years champion.

Moving that much in a short amount of time is very hard if you don`t have contacts ahead of time to move specific things to. Good job doubling your money. With the next collection you buy, and the stuff you learned, you will increase your profit margin alot. 👍👍 Favorite team = 1980`s Lakers Championship team this year = Nuggets

Great video. I bought a large collection several years ago thinking I'd go through everything quickly. Several years later and I still have a few hundred thousand cards that I've never gone through. I probably shouldn't have bought it. Favorite NBA team: Celtics NBA Champion next year: Bucks

I'm in the same boat as you. Overwhelming amounts of cardboard, constant listing daily, it's a nightmare. Anyhow, my favorite team is the Celtics! Bird is the word! And I feel like the Bucks are gonna take it this time! No insta, sorry. I would not do it again either.

You have to be much better organized. I am at the point I can strip a 100k collection in about 4 hours. find any decent cards quickly and box them. ship all the commons off to my junk guy. then sort into .25-50 cent-1.00 -2.50 boxes. everything 2.50 to 50 bucks goes off to COMC. sell everything over 50 at card shows. rinse and repeat.

The Lakers are my favorite team an I thought they were going to win the finals but now I'm not sure cuz the Greek Freak got a all NBA caliber second option. Im going through a similar issue. it wasnt a million cards but it was a truck full. maybe half of your load. Completely overwhelmed, not only with the sorting but the sheer amount of supplies I would need to properly store and resell them. I'm a month deep into it and finally making headway. Another issue I am dealing with is missing deals being too focused on this batch. Then sorting for grade, and deciding what gets sent in first. With this big of a load, I agree with your fast nickel than slow dime for the bulk of it. I sort for grade, value, relics, autos. All other is going into the bulk bins. For the price I got the load, one box made it back. $.003/card. It was a no brainer and yes ild do it again for the same price. That bathroom pic made me laugh.

Would love to do a 1 million card flip, would be a grind but sounds like even though you're hesitant you've learned enough you'd do it again haha Go Raps Martymaniac

Buying a 1M card collection assumes you will play the longer game. But yes, having contacts where you can move things quickly is also great. When I buy, larger things I try to determine ahead of time the amount of effort to break even and then have the rest... Also buying larger quantities will allow you to get cards a bit cheaper ala volume discounts. i also do hold onto certain things that I feel are undervalued. The point about the sheer volume is daunting - that is why I would ask the buyer to describe contents in boxes to help me expedite the "crap" so to speak. Final thing I have learned is that it is great to have both wholesale and retail customers for cash flow but you have to be careful at shows having special sales because then people expect that every time thereafter. Truly enjoy watching your evolution in this and your take - it is a refreshing version versus other ones that are basically puff pieces or far worse.

@mi3cards I'm rooting for the Timberwolves since I am here in MInnesota. They will not be winning the championship. Denver could repeat this year. Sending out that many cards to COMC at one time would have been expensive. I like them though. I buy on there every day. Would have been good to take a lot of cards and set them out in bargain boxes at local card shows. That would keep you busy. Could sell off the boxes at the end of the show for a discount as well if you find someone that would be interested. Seems like there are a few other dealers always trying to add to their bargain boxes. Good luck!!!

Im gonna say the celtcis as a favorite& the celtics winning this year! Honestly man if my math is right you guys made 12K profit and 6K each for the amount of time you had in thats insanely low. When you expenses you didnt calc in thats nothing... you probably could have made more doing odd jobs for 13 an hr... im an enterpeur i get it , not all about the money... but you have to get your profit way way up.... cards is tough. In other fields i work in of collectibles, i make a lot heavier margins on items as much as 5-15x my money usually and no junk stuff to deal with. An old dealer once told me dont get involved with a project unless you making triple your money! Its a rule i always have tried to follow... that being said high dollar items lesser margins are ok like a 1k item you gonna flip at 1.7k thats worth the effort.

I also have a guy who will buy your parallels and other inserts in volume and he’s in the Chicago area he does every show and specializes in bargain boxes
